कालसी। कालसी तहसील के अंतर्गत कोटी कालोनी में लंबे समय से पीने के पानी की समस्या बनी हुई है। जल जीवन मिशन के तहत घर-घर नल होने के बाद भी पीने को जल नहीं है। कई बार जल संस्थान के आला अधिकारियों को भी लिखित और मौखिक रूप से अवगत कराने के बाद भी ग्रामीणों को पेयजल की सुविधा नहीं मिल पा रही है। हालत यह है कि पीने के पानी के लिए क्षेत्र के निवासियों को दो से तीन किलोमीटर दूरी नापनी पड़ रही है। दिनभर पानी ढोने में ही समय गुजर रहा है।

हाल ही में जल जीवन मिशन के तहत घर-घर कनेक्शन तो दे दिए गए, लेकिन पेयजल आपूर्ति सुचारू नहीं कराई गई। इसका खामियाजा कोटी कालोनी क्षेत्र के लोग उठा रहे हैं। पेयजल लाइन में पानी न होने की वजह से लोग परेशान हैं। कोटी गांव और कॉलोनी की बात की जाए तो यहां सरकार की ओर से दो सहायक फिटर रखे हुए हैं, कितु विभागीय उदासीनता ऐसी है कि ग्रामीणों की समस्या हल नहीं की जा रही है। ग्रामीण कलम सिंह चौहान, गजेंद्र सिंह, थेप सिंह, वीरेंद्र सिंह चौहान, नरेश कुमार, भूपेंद्र सैनी, मनीष आदि का कहना है कि कई बार जल संस्थान के अधिकारियों को समस्या बता चुके हैं, लेकिन पेयजल लाइन में पानी की व्यवस्था पर किसी ने भी ध्यान नहीं दिया। वर्तमान में गर्मी बढ़ने पर पानी की खपत बढ़ने की वजह से दो से तीन किमी दूर खडड व स्त्रोत से पानी लाना पड़ रहा है। पूरा दिन इसी काम में चला जा रहा है। ग्रामीणों ने चेतावनी दी कि जिम्मेदार अधिकारी यदि समस्या जल्द हल नहीं करेंगे तो जल संस्थान के कालसी कार्यालय का घेराव कर आंदोलन किया जाएगा।
