लालकुआं। लालकुआं कोतवाली क्षेत्र में पुलिस का अवैध नशे के खिलाफ अभियान जारी है। इसी क्रम में कोतवाली पुलिस ने डॉली रेंज के जंगल में अवैध शराब बनाने के लिए डाली गई भट्टियों को तोड़कर करीब 1000 लीटर लाहन को नष्ट कर दिया ।

वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक महोदय नैनीताल के द्वारा चलाए जा रहे मादक पदार्थों की अवैध तस्करी के विरुद्ध अभियान के तहत प्रभारी निरीक्षक संजय कुमार के आदेशानुसार वरिष्ठ उपनिरीक्षक रोहताश सिंह के नेतृत्व में कोतवाली पुलिस द्वारा डॉली रेंज के पलजंगलों में अवैध शराब की धरपकड़ हेतु अभियान चलाया गया।

इस दौरान जंगल में अवैध शराब की भट्टी बनाकर कच्ची शराब बनाने का मामला पकड़ में आया। जिसपर पुलिस टीम द्वारा अवैध शराब बनाने वाली भट्टियों को तहस-नहस किया गया तथा लगभग 1000 लीटर लहान नष्ट किया गया । जबकि मौके से शक्ति फार्म नंबर छह उधम सिंह नगर निवासी शराब तस्कर को भी गिरफ्तार किया गया। जिसके पास से गाड़ी के ट्यूब में 30 लीटर अवैध कच्ची शराब भी बरामद की गई।

कोतवाली के वरिष्ठ उपनिरीक्षक रोहिताश सागर ने बताया कि जंगल में भट्टी डालकर कच्ची शराब बनाई जा रही थी। पुलिस टीम ने भक्ति को तोड़कर लाहन को नष्ट कर दिया है। अवैध नशे के खिलाफ पुलिस का अभियान जारी रहेगा। पुलिस टीम उपनिरीक्षक संजय ब्रजबाल, चंद्रशेखर जोशी, आरक्षी तरुण मेहता, विपिन कुमार, गंगा सिंह व सुरेश प्रसाद सामिल थे।
