देहरादून। गांधीग्राम के सत्तोवाली घाटी में नदी के मुहाने पर बसे मकान जिंदगी से खिलवाड़ का जीता-जागता उदाहरण हैं। यहां नदी के बहाव के विपरीत बने पुश्तों पर मकानों की कतारें तैयार हो गई हैं। हैरानी की बात तो यह कि मकान बनाकर मालिक खुद सुरक्षित स्थान पर रहते हैं और यहां किरायेदारों की जान खतरे में डाली गई है। बीती रात हुए हादसे में भले ही कोई जनहानि न हुई हो, लेकिन यह मकान कब जिंदगियों को अपने आगोश में ले लें, कहा नहीं जा सकता। न तो प्रशासन की ओर से इसकी कभी सुध ली जाती और जनप्रतिनिधियों से तो उम्मीद करना भी बेइमानी है। क्योंकि इस निर्माण को शह देने वाले भी जनप्रतिनिधि ही हैं।

सत्तोवाली घाटी में बिंदाल नदी के दोनों छोर पर बड़ी संख्या में भवन निर्माण किया गया है, जो कि नदी के बहाव के खिलाफ बने हुए हैं। जिसके कारण नदी का पानी रिसकर पुश्तों के भीतर जाता रहता है और पुश्तों की मिट्टी बह जाती है। धीरे-धीरे खोखला होकर ये पुश्ते धराशायी होने का खतरा बना रहता है। जिनके ऊपर बड़ी संख्या में मकान बने हैं। जिनमें सैकड़ों लोग निवास करते हैं।

ताज्जुब की बात तो यह कि यहां ज्यादातर मकानों के मालिक कहीं अच्छी कालोनी में बसे हुए हैं और यहां खतरे की जद में बने मकान पर किरायेदार रखे हुए हैं। अन्य राज्यों से मेहनत-मजदूरी करने दून आने वाले लोग यहां सस्ता किराया होने की वजह से खतरे की परवाह भी नहीं करते। छोटे बच्चों और बुजुर्गों के साथ बेखौफ यहां रहते हैं। वैसे तो सबकुछ ठीक ही रहता है, जब तक कोई बड़ा हादसा न हो। अब इनकी जिंदगी की सुरक्षा की जिम्मेदारी प्रशासन या जनप्रतिनिधि कब लेंगे, पता नहीं।

सत्तोवाली घाटी निवासी राकेश कुमार कहते हैं, मैं यहां परिवार के साथ आठ साल से रहता हूं। मकान मालिक कहीं और रहते हैं। मैं सब्जी की ठेली लगाकर परिवार का भरण-पोषण करता हूं। परिवार में छह सदस्य हैं। कमरा सस्ता होने के कारण यहां रहना मजबूरी है

वहीं, रामबेटी का कहना है कि हम कई सालों से यहां रह रहे हैं। बेटा और बेटी साथ में रहते हैं। पहले भी फर्श पर दरारें आती रही हैं, लेकिन कोई सुध लेने नहीं आया। पैसा न होने के कारण न तो मरम्मत करा पाते और न ही कहीं दूसरी जगह जा सकते हैं।
