रुद्रप्रयाग: अगस्त्यमुनि व जखोली विकास खंड की तीस से अधिक गांव के लोगों को लोक निर्माण विभाग की लापरवाही भारी पड़ रही है। विभाग ने पुल की मरम्मत करने के लिए पुल पर आवाजाही की रोक तो लगा दी है, लेकिन पिछले पन्द्रह दिनों से पुल पर कार्य नहीं हो रहा है। यहां के लोगों को अगस्त्यमुनि कसबा आने के लिए पचास किमी का फेर तय करना पड़ रहा है।

बष्टी-हाट मोटर मार्ग को जोड़ने वाला बांसवाडा पुल क्षेत्र की दो दर्जन से अधिक गांवों के लिए लाइफ लाइन है, लेकिन इसके जीर्णशीर्ण होने से लोक निर्माण विभाग ने गत 10 जुलाई से इस पर आवाजाही बंद की गई है। जिससे इस क्षेत्र के लोग पचास किमी से अधिक का फेर तय कर अगस्त्यम्युनि आने को मजबूर हैं। विभाग ने इस पुल पर मरम्मत का कार्य केवल चार दिन ही किया और इसके बाद काम ठप पड़ हुआ है। जुलाई का महीना भी खत्म हो गया है, अभी तक पुल पर मरम्मत का काम नहीं हो पाया है। पूर्व प्रधान राकेश तिवारी ने कहा कि कहा कि यदि शीघ्र पुल की मरम्मत का काम नहीं हुआ तो ग्रामीण केदारनाथ हाईवे पर धरना देने को मजबूर होंगे। बरसात के दौरान इसका महत्व और भी बढ़ गया है। हाईवे बंद होने के कारण कई बीमार मरीजों को अगस्त्यमुनि लाने में घंटों जाम में फंसना पड़ रहा है। सामाजिक कार्यकत्र्ता राकेश नेगी ने कहा कि विभाग की लापरवाही का खामियाजा आम ग्रामीणों को झेलना पड़ रहा है। कार्य बंद होने पर पुल की मरम्मत में काफी समय लगेगा। विभाग को यदि कार्य नहीं करना था तो आवाजाही नहीं रोकनी चाहिए थी।
