सोमेश्वर (अल्मोड़ा) : अल्मोड़ा जिले के सोमेश्वर तहसील के चनौदा कस्बे में युवती की हत्या कर जहर गटकने वाले युवक की भी मौत हो गई। उसे कौसानी के एक अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। देर रात सीएचसी बैजनाथ (बागेश्वर) रेफर किया गया, जहां उसने दम तोड़ दिया। इससे पूर्व मृतका के भाई की तहरीर पर पुलिस ने युवक के खिलाफ हत्या का मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया था।

बीते गुरुवार को चनौदा कस्बे में गांधी आश्रम के पास हरीश सिंह बोरा की 20 वर्षीय पुत्री की चाकू से गोद हत्या कर दी गई थी। वारदात तब हुई जब युवती तीसरे माले पर कमरे में थी। स्कूटी से पहुंचे ढौनीगाढ़ (सोमेश्वर तहसील) निवासी दीपक सिंह भंडारी कत्ल के बाद कांटली रोड की ओर फरार हो गया था। इधर खून से लथपथ अंजलि को अस्पताल ले जाया गया। चिकित्सकों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया था।

कुछ देर बाद चनौदा से करीब आठ किमी दूर पच्चीसी कांटली रोड पर दीपक सिंह ने चायबागान के पास जहर गटक लिया। आसपास के ग्रामीणों ने उसे नाजुक हालत में कौसानी के अस्पताल पहंचाया। प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद कुछ सुधार होने पर एहतियातन हत्यारोपित को नजदीक के सीएचसी बैजनाथ (बागेश्वर) रेफर किया गया लेकिन देर रात उसने दम तोड़ दिया।

दोनों परिवारों में कोहराम

कथित प्रेम प्रसंग और फिर एतराज का अंजाम बेहद दुखद रहा। आपा खोए दीपक सिंह ने प्रेम संबंध से इनकार करने पर अंजलि की निर्मम हत्या कर दी। बाद में खुद भी जहरीले पदार्थ का सेवन कर आत्महत्या कर ली। हत्याकांड के बाद चनौदा कस्बे का माहौल गमगीन है। पोस्टमार्टम के बाद युवती का शव घर पहुंचते ही स्वजन बेसुध हो गए। उधर दीपक सिंह के ढौनीगाढ़ गांव में भी मातम पसर गया है। स्वजनों का रो रो कर बुरा हाल है। दोनों परिवारों में कोहराम है।
