लैंसडाउन। लैंसडाउन जहरीखाल गुमखाल मोटर मार्ग पर लैंसडाउन-जहरीखाल के मध्य पर्यटकों की एक कार खड्डे में गिर गई। दुर्घटना में 2 पर्यटकों के मारे जाने की सूचना है। घटना मध्यरात्रि के बाद की है। दिल्ली से लैंसडाउन की ओर घूमने आए थे। बताया जा रहा है कि कार में तीन पर्यटक सवार थे। मध्य रात्रि के उपरांत जयहरीखाल-लैंसडाउन मोटर मार्ग पर ग्राम बौंठा की सीमा के अंतर्गत फाइबर बैंड के समीप कार अनियंत्रित होकर करीब 600 मीटर गहरे खड्ड में जा गिरी। सूचना मिलते ही लैंसडाउन कोतवाली से कोतवाल संतोष कुंवर के नेतृत्व में पुलिस टीम मौके पर पहुंची, लेकिन घना कोहरा होने के कारण कार का पता नहीं चल पाया। सुबह एसडीआरएफ वह पुलिस की संयुक्त टीम ने घटनास्थल पर खोजी अभियान चलाया, जिसके बाद कार से दो व्यक्तियों के शव बरामद हुए।

कोतवाली प्रभारी ने बताया कि दुर्घटना में मारे गए एक पर्यटक की जेब से मिले आधार कार्ड के आधार पर उसकी पहचान नफजगढ़ (दक्षिण पश्चिमी दिल्ली) निवासी अनुज वत्स पुत्र महावीर सिंह के रूप में हुई है। बताया कि मौके से एक मोबाइल फोन भी बरामद हुआ है, जिसके आधार पर दूसरे व्यक्ति की शिनाख्त की जा रही है। घटनास्थल पर पुलिस का खोजी अभियान जारी है।
