पिथौरागढ़ । टनकपुर की शारदा नदी में शुक्रवार को एकाएक बढ़ गया जल स्तर अब कम होने लगा है। पिथौरागढ़ में धारचूला के धौली गंगा जल विद्युत परियोजना से भारी मात्रा में पानी छोड़ देने और पहाड़ों में हुई बरसात के चलते शुक्रवार को नदी अचानक उफान पर आ गई थी। अधिक पानी होने के कारण टनकपुर जल विद्युत परियोजना एनएचपीसी द्वारा टनकपुर बैराज के सभी गेट भी खोलते हुए चैनल को जाने वाला पानी बंद कर दिया गया था। जिसके कारण  विद्युत उत्पादन भी नहीं हो पाया था। एसडीएम हिमांशु कफल्टिया ने बताया कि शनिवार को नदी का जल स्तर सामान्य हो गया है।

रुक-रुक कर हो रही बारिश

दो दिन से जिले के पर्वतीय और मैदानी क्षेत्रों में रुक-रुक कर बारिश हो रही है। शनिवार की सुबह से कहीं हल्की तो कहीं तेज बारिश का सिलसिला जारी है। बारिश से टनकपुर और बनबसा में लोगों गर्मी से राहत मिली है। लेकिन कुछ स्थानों पर जल भराव होने से परेशानी भी झेलनी पड़ रही है।
