चारधाम यात्रा मार्ग पर होटल-ढाबे और वेंडरों के यहां बासी तेल से भोजन बनाया गया तो अब खैर नहीं। खाद्य तेल की जांच के लिए खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग मोबाइल टीमें तैनात करेगा, जिसके जरिये ऑन द स्पॉट पड़ताल हो सकेगी कि एक ही खाद्य तेल को कितनी बार इस्तेमाल किया गया। विभाग ने यात्रा मार्ग पर पड़ने वाले जिलों को फ्राइंग ऑयल मॉनीटर (टीपीसी मीटर) देने शुरू कर दिए हैं।

डिप्टी कमिश्नर जीसी कंडवाल ने बताया कि फूड सेफ्टी एंड स्टैंडर्ड अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया (एफएसएसएआई) ने बासी तेल का इस्तेमाल रोकने को कड़े प्रावधान किए हैं। खाने की चीजें जैसे समोसे, छोले-भटूरे, पकौड़े, जलेबी समेत कई खाद्य पदार्थ तलने के लिए एक ही तेल के बार-बार इस्तेमाल से लोगों की सेहत खराब हो सकती है।

इसलिए, बासी तेल के इस्तेमाल पर प्रतिबंध है। चारधाम यात्रा मार्ग पर रुद्रप्रयाग जिले को टीपीसी मीटर उपलब्ध करा दिया गया है। चमोली, पौड़ी, टिहरी, उत्तरकाशी, ऋषिकेश के लिए मीटर दिए जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि  खाद्य तेल में गड़बड़ी पाए जाने पर नियमानुसार कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

अभियान के लिए बनाई जा रही टीमें
डिप्टी कमिश्नर ने बताया कि जिलों को कहा गया है कि खाद्य कारोबारियों को जागरूक किया जाए। यदि वे आदेश न मानें तो कार्रवाई की जाए। उधर, दून के जिला खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिकारी पीसी जोशी का कहना है कि जिले में पड़ने वाले यात्रा मार्ग के लिए पुख्ता तैयारियां की गई हैं। विशेष अभियान के लिए टीमें बनाई जा रही हैं।

बासी तेल से हो सकती हैं कई बीमारियां
वरिष्ठ फिजीशियन डॉ. एनएस बिष्ट एवं डॉ. नारायणजीत सिंह कहते हैं कि बासी तेल सेहत के लिए नुकसानदायक हो सकता है। हाइपरटेंशन, एल्जाइमर और पेट से जुड़े रोग हो सकते हैं। बासी तेल कैंसर का कारण भी बन सकता है। हृदय रोग, स्ट्रोक और छाती में दर्द की समस्या पैदा होती है। एसिडिटी और गले में जलन के साथ मोटापा-डायबिटीज का भी खतरा रहता है।
