प्रदेश में मौसम अलर्ट के बाद धर्मनगरी में 28 हजार से अधिक यात्री ठहरे हुए हैं। इन यात्रियों के लिए होटल और धर्मशाला संचालकों को 20 प्रतिशत छूट देने के आदेश दिए गए हैं। साथ ही उन्हें सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराने के लिए कहा गया है।

रविवार से दो दिन के लिए मौसम अलर्ट जारी कर दिया गया था, जिससे चारधाम यात्रा को भी रोक दिया गया था। धर्मनगरी में भी जिला प्रशासन की ओर से रेलवे स्टेशन, रोडवेज बस अड्डा आदि सार्वजनिक स्थलों से यात्रियों को चारधाम यात्रा दो दिन के लिए टालने की अपील की गई थी। इससे अब धर्मनगरी के विभिन्न होटलों और धर्मशालाओं और आश्रमों में लगभग 28 हजार पांच सौ यात्रियों के ठहरने होने का आंकड़ा पर्यटन विभाग ने जुटाया है।

जिला पर्यटन विकास अधिकारी सीमा नौटियाल ने बताया कि जिलाधिकारी विनय शंकर ने हरिद्वार के विभिन्न होटलों में ठहरे लोगों को सभी मूलभूत सुविधाएं देने के निर्देश दिए हैं। उनके निर्देश पर सभी होटल संचालकों को होटलों के कमरों में 20 प्रतिशत छूट देने के आदेश जारी किए गए हैं। यात्रियों से अधिक रुपये लेेने पर कार्रवाई की चेतावनी भी जारी की गई है।
