रुद्रपुर : साहब राहत केंद्रों पर आपदा प्रभावितों को बढ़िया भोजन मिल रहा है, लेकिन आइसक्रीम नहीं मिल रही है। आसक्रीम मिले तो खाने में मजा आ जाए। यह बातें एक आपदा प्रभावित ने अधिकारी के मोबाइल पर कही। अधिकारी ने भी जवाब दिया कि आइसक्रीम मुहैया कराने की कोशिश करेंगे। इसी तरह कोई मिठाई की तो कोई फल की डिमांड कर रहा है। हालांकि अधिकारी सब्र व शालीनता का परिचय देकर उन्हें शांत करा दे रहे हैं। रुद्रपुर में खुले सात राहत केंद्रों में 154480 लोगों को खाना खिलाया जा चुका है। राहत केन्‍द्रों में पूड़ी, सब्जी व पुलाव बनाया जाता है।

बीते दिनों कुमाऊं में हुई भारी बारिश से यूएस नगर जलमग्न हो गया था। कल्याणी नदी के किनारे बसे मोहल्ला जगतपुरा, मुखर्जी नगर, भूतबंगला, रविंद्र नगर, ठाकुर नगर, वाल्मीकि नगर, संजय नगर खेड़ा, खेड़ा में जलभराव से कई मकान डूब गए थे। लोगों को काफी नुकसान हुआ। ऐसे में आपदा प्रभावित लोगों को भोजन व ठहरने की असुविधा न हो, इसके लिए जिला प्रशासन ने अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक कर राहत शिविर शुरू कर दिए।

इनमें 21 अक्टूबर से मंगलवार तक जगतपुरा के बालिका विद्या मंदिर जूनियर हाईस्कूल में 20800, भूतबंगला के राजकीय प्राथमिक स्कूल वाल्मीकि नगर में 13880, ठाकुर नगर के बर्मन आटा चक्की के पास बने राहत केंद्र में 27100, शिवनगर के राजकीय प्राथमिक स्कूल में 18900, खेड़ा के राजकीय प्राथमिक स्कूल में 20400, संजयनगर खेड़ा के बसंती देवी मंदिर परिसर में 21600, मुखर्जी नगर के राधा गोविंद मंदिर परिसर में 24400 व संजय नगर स्थित गन्ना भवन के पीछे राम बोस राहत केंद्र में 7400 लोगों को ठहराया गया। जहां उनके भोजन का भी प्रबंध किया गया।

राहत शिविरों में रह रहे आपदा पीडि़तों को खाना खिलाने में अब तक करीब 32 से 33 लाख रुपये खर्च हो गए हैं। इनमें कुछ लाख रुपये प्रशासन से मिले हैं, जबकि बाकी उधार पर हैं। हालांकि जो भी खर्चा हो रहा है, उसका बजट शासन प्रशासन से मिल जाएगा। जिला पूर्ति अधिकारी तेजबल सिंह ने बताया कि डेढ़ लाख से अधिक लोगों को राहत केंद्रों में भोजन खिलाया जा चुका है।
