देहरादून। कार्बेट टाइगर रिजर्व के कालागढ़ प्रभाग के तहत पाखरो रेंज के वन क्षेत्राधिकारी (रेंजर) बृज बिहारी शर्मा को पेड़ों के अवैध पातन के मामले में निलंबित कर दिया गया है। राष्ट्रीय बाघ संरक्षण प्राधिकरण (एनटीसीए) की जांच में आरोप की पुष्टि होने के बाद प्रमुख मुख्य वन संरक्षक (पीसीसीएफ) राजीव भरतरी ने पाखरो रेंजर के निलंबन के आदेश जारी किए। रेंजर शर्मा पर पाखरो वन सफारी परियोजना में निर्धारित से अधिक पेड़ कटवाने का आरोप है।

पीसीसीएफ के आदेश के अनुसार, पाखरो रेंजर बृज बिहारी शर्मा पर पेड़ों के अवैध पातन के साथ अनाधिकृत रूप से उप प्रभागीय वनाधिकारी के पदनाम का प्रयोग कर वैधानिक-प्रशासनिक-वित्तीय स्वीकृति प्राप्त करने का आरोप भी है। इस संबंध में एनटीसीए को शिकायत प्राप्त होने के बाद जांच चल रही थी। जांच में आरोपों की पुष्टि होने पर एनटीसीए की ओर से कार्रवाई की संस्तुति की गई।

इस संबंध में कार्बेट टाइगर रिजर्व के निदेशक की ओर से पीसीसीएफ राजीव भरतरी को पत्र भेजा गया। इसी क्रम में सोमवार को वन मुख्यालय से पाखरो रेंजर के निलंबन का आदेश जारी कर दिया गया। आदेश के अनुसार, निलंबन की अवधि में रेंजर को जीवन निर्वाह भत्ते की धनराशि अर्द्धवेतन पर देय अवकाश वेतन की धनराशि के बराबर देय होगी। उन्हें जीवन निर्वाह भत्ते की धनराशि पर महंगाई भत्ता (यदि ऐसे अवकाश वेतन पर देय है) भी अनुमन्य होगा। निलंबन अवधि में बृज बिहारी शर्मा वन संरक्षक शिवालिक वृत्त के कार्यालय में संबंद्ध रहेंगे।
