नैनीताल : आपदा प्रभावित वन पंचायतों को वन विभाग से नुकसान की क्षतिपूर्ति की उम्मीद नहीं करनी चाहिए। यहां तक कि वन विभाग को भी आपदा मद से विभागीय संपत्तियों के पुनर्निर्माण के लिए बजट मिलने की कोई उम्मीद नहीं है। इन परिस्थितियों में अब आपदा की समीक्षा बैठकों में वन विभाग के अफसरों को बुलाने पर सवाल खड़े हो रहे हैं। ऐसे में अब वन विभाग को खुद नुकसान के क्षतिपूर्ति का इंतजाम खुद करना होग।

वन विभाग को कुमाऊं में ही 57 करोड़ के आसपास नुकसान का अनुमान है। इसमें पैदल बटिया से लेकर कच्चे मोटर मार्ग, दीवार, तटबंध, चेकडैम आदि का नुकसान मुख्य है। इधर वन विभाग की पंजीकृत नर्सरियों के साथ ही वन पंचायतों को भी आपदा में भारी नुकसान हुआ है। कैम्पा समेत। अन्य प्रोजेक्ट के माध्यम से वन पंचायत व वन क्षेत्रों में किये गए करोड़ों के काम आपदा की भेंट चढ़ गए। इस बीच बड़े पैमाने पर वन क्षेत्रों के आपदा प्रभावित वन विभाग के दफ्तरों के चक्कर काट रहे हैं। साथ ही नुकसान की भरपाई की मांग कर रहे हैं।

प्रभागीय वनाधिकारी टीआर बीजू लाल ने साफ किया है कि भारत सरकार के आपदा के नुकसान का जायजा लेने आये अधिकारियों ने भी साफ किया है कि वन विभाग को बजट नहीं मिलेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि वन विभाग किसी आपदा प्रभावित के नुकसान की भरपाई नहीं कर सकता, साथ ही जोड़ा कि जो भी प्रभावितों के आवेदन आ रहे हैं, उन्हें जिलाधिकारी को भेजा जा रहा है। प्रभावित लोग जिला प्रशासन के सामने ही अपनी समस्‍या रखें।
