नैनीताल : नैनीताल में तल्लीताल क्षेत्र में देर रात सड़क किनारे खड़ी बाइक में आग लग गई। देखते ही देखते आग ने आसपास खड़ी अन्य बाइकों को भी चपेट में ले लिया। पास ही स्थित होटल कर्मी ने अग्निकांड की सूचना पुलिस और फायरकर्मियों को दी। फायर कर्मियों ने तत्काल पहुंच आग पर काबू पाया। मगर तब तक दो बाइक और दो स्कूटी जलकर राख हो चुकी थी। हालांकि समय रहते आग पर काबू पाने से आसपास खड़े करीब आठ वाहन सुरक्षित बच गए।

जानकारी के मुताबिक तल्लीताल फांसी गधेरा क्षेत्र में मनु महारानी होटल के समीप सड़क किनारे दो पहिया वाहन खड़े रहते हैं। रात करीब दो बजे होटल कर्मचारी ललित ने देखा कि सड़क किनारे खड़ी एक बाइक में आग लगी हुई है। देखते ही देखते आग ने आसपास खड़े अन्य बाइकों को भी चपेट में ले लिया। ललित द्वारा अग्निकांड की सूचना तुरंत तल्लीताल पुलिस को दी गई। सूचना के बाद एसओ रोहिताश सिंह सागर, चीता कांस्टेबल शिवराज सिंह राणा मौके पर पहुंचे और फायर यूनिट को घटना की जानकारी दी।

सूचना पर पहुँचे कर्मियों ने तत्परता दिखाते हुए आग पर काबू पा लिया। मगर तब तक दो स्कूटी और दो बाइक जलकर राख हो गई। हालांकि समय रहते आग पर काबू पाने से आसपास खड़े करीब आठ दोपहिया वाहन सुरक्षित बच गए। एसओ ने बताया कि संभवत आग शार्ट सर्किट अथवा पटाखे जलाने के कारण लगी हो ऐसा प्रतीत हो रहा है। फिलहाल वाहन स्वामियों का पता लगाने के साथ ही मामले की जांच की जा रही है।
