 टांडा अफजल निवासी राम रतन सिंह का बड़ा बेटा नकुल पंजाब के पठानकोट में सेना में कार्यरत है। परिजनों का कहना है कि बुधवार दोपहर 12 बजे नकुल की हजीरो गांव निवासी एक युवती के साथ सगाई होने वाली थी। इससे एक दिन पूर्व सभी तैयारियां पूरी कर ली गई थीं। अधिकांश मेहमान भी आ चुके थे। सुबह करीब पांच बजे नकुल की आवश्यकता पड़ने पर उसके कमरे का कुंडा खटखटाया तो उसने दरवाजा नहीं खोला।

जब काफी समय बीतने पर खिड़की से देखा तो नकुल फंदे पर लटका था। चीख-पुकार पर मोहल्ले के लोग भी जुट हो गए। इसके बाद आनन-फानन में दरवाजा तोड़कर नकुल को नीचे उतारा गया। जानकारी मिलते ही गांव का माहौल गमगीन हो गया। स्वजनों का रो-रोकर बुरा हाल है। खुदकुशर के कारणों का पता नहीं चल सका है।
