ऋषिकेश। केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्रालय की ओर से जलयोद्धा सम्मान से सम्मानित उमाशंकर पांडेय ने परमार्थ निकेतन के अध्यक्ष स्वामी चिदानन्द सरस्वती और पतंजलि योगपीठ के महासचिव आचार्य बालकृष्ण से भेंट की। उन्होंने खेत पर मेड़, मेड़ पर पेड़ के परंपरागत स्त्रोत से पानी पाने वाले बुंदेलखंड में भूजल का स्तर केवल दस फुट पर लाकर दुनिया में भारतीय जल संरक्षण की परंपरागत तकनीक को किस प्रकार पुनर्जीवित किया जाए, इस पर विस्तार से चर्चा की।

स्वामी चिदानन्द सरस्वती ने कहा कि भारत में कुछ वर्षों से लगातार कम हो रहे मानसून के कारण 330 मिलियन लोग व देश की लगभग एक-चैथाई जनसंख्या गंभीर सूखे से प्रभावित हैं। भारत के लगभग 50 प्रतिशत क्षेत्र सूखे जैसी स्थिति से जूझ रहे हैं, विशेष रूप से पश्चिमी और दक्षिणी राज्यों में जल संकट की गंभीर स्थिति बनी हुई है। भारत की 12 प्रतिशत जनसंख्या पहले से ही डे जीरो की स्थितियों से गुजर रही है। इसलिये हमें वर्षा का जल अधिक-से-अधिक बचाने की कोशिश करना होगा।

आचार्य बालकृष्ण ने कहा कि भारत के पास वर्षाजल संग्रहण के कई तरीके उपलब्ध हैं। कम ढलान वाले इलाकों में परंपरागत तालाबों को बड़े पैमाने पर पुनर्जीवित करके नए तालाब भी हमें बनाने होंगे, ताकि कम होते जल से उत्पन्न समस्याओं को कम किया जा सके। उन्होंने कहा प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने मन की बात में जलग्राम जखनी के बारे में बताते हुए सम्पूर्ण भारत की ग्राम पंचायतों को मेड़बंदी और परंपरागत तरीकों से जलग्राम जखनी की तरह जल सचंयन का सुझाव दिया है।

जलयोद्धा उमाशंकर के साथ जलग्राम जखनी के निदेशक टिल्लन रिछारिया और समन्वयक लोकेश शर्मा ने बताया की जखनी माडल की तर्ज पर देश के जलाभाव ग्रस्त गांवों में अपनाने का जन जागरण अभियान स्वामी चिदानंद सरस्वती के मार्गदर्शन में जल्द से जल्द शुरू किया जाएगा।
