कोटद्वार। उत्तराखंड में इनदिनों कड़ाके के ठंड पड़ रही है। बावजूद इसके अपनी मांग को लेकर ग्रामीणों ने सुबह चार बजे से टिहरी-मुरादाबाद राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग (एनएच-121) को जाम कर दिया है। यहां बीरोंखाल प्रखंड से बड़ी संख्या में महिलाएं पंचपुरी पुल पर धरना दे रही हैं। तो चलिए आपको बता दें कि ग्रामीणों की क्या मांग है।

बीरोंखाल प्रखंड के अंतर्गत फरसाड़ी-गडकोट-सत्या नगर मोटर मार्ग के विस्तारीकरण और डामरीकरण की मांग को लेकर क्षेत्रीय ग्रामीणों (छह गांवों के ग्रामीणों) ने सोमवार सुबह चार बजे से राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या-121 पर चक्का जाम कर दिया है। बड़ी संख्या में ग्रामीण महिलाएं सड़क के विस्तारीकरण वह डामरीकरण की मांग को लेकर पंचपुरी पुल में धरने पर बैठ गई हैं।

ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि फरसाड़ी से सत्यानगर तक करीब दो दशक पहले सड़क स्वीकृत हुई थी। इसमें से आज तक मात्र गढ़कोट तक ही सड़क बनाई गई है, जबकि गडकोट से सत्यानगर तक तीन किलोमीटर सड़क अभी नहीं बनी है। फरसाड़ी से गढ़कोट तक बनाई गई सड़क पर डामरीकरण भी नहीं किया गया है।

क्षेत्रीय जनता की मांग पर क्षेत्रीय विधायक व प्रदेश के लोक निर्माण मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने डामरीकरण का आश्वासन तो दिया, लेकिन महज 600 मीटर डामरीकरण के बाद कार्य रोक दिया गया। कहा कि जब तक गडकोट से सत्या नगर के लिए सड़क निर्माण कार्य शुरू नहीं होता व फरसाड़ी और गड़कोट के बीच सड़क में डामरीकरण कार्य शुरू नहीं होता ग्रामीण आंदोलन जारी रखेंगे।
