ऋषिकेश में राफ्टिंग और कैंपिंग के व्यवसाय पर कोरोना का साया फिर से मंडराना शुरू हो गया है। नए वैरिएंट ओमिक्रॉन के आने से राफ्टिंग और कैंपिंग करने आ रहे सैलानियों की संख्या में गिरावट आ रही है। प्रदेश की सीमाओं पर कोरोना जांच होने से पर्यटकों को परेशानी हो रही है। कई पर्यटकों ने अपनी ऑनलाइन बुकिंग रद्द कर दी हैं। 

राफ्टिंग और कैंपिंग के कारोबार पर पड़ रहा असर
कोरोना संक्रमण के चलते लक्ष्मणझूला, स्वर्गाश्रम, मुनिकीरेती और तपोवन क्षेत्र में राफ्टिंग और कैंप संचालक मंदी की मार से धीरे-धीरे उबरने शुरू हो रहे थे। जैसे ही व्यवस्थाएं पटरी पर दौड़नी शुरू हुई थीं वैसे ही अब देश में नए वैरिएंट ने दस्तक दे दी है। इसके चलते शासन और प्रशासन अलर्ट हो गए हैं। प्रदेेश की सीमाओं में प्रवेश करने वाले लोगों की जांच बढ़ा दी गई है। इसका असर राफ्टिंग और कैंपिंग के कारोबार पर पड़ रहा है। 

गंगा नदी रीवर राफ्टिंग रोटेशन समिति के अध्यक्ष दिनेश भट्ट, राफ्ट व्यवसायी राज कुमार और अनुराग पयाल ने बताया कि देश, विदेश में नए वैरिएंट की दस्तक से पर्यटकों में डर का माहौल है। इसका असर अब तीर्थनगरी में संचालित राफ्टिंग और कैंपिंग पर पड़ रहा है। राफ्टिंग और कैंपिंग को आने वाले पर्यटकों ने ऑनलाइन बुकिंग रद्द कर दी हैं। वीकेंड पर भी पर्यटकों की संख्या कम हो गई है। स्थिति यह है कि अब यहां व्यवसाय 30 से 35 प्रतिशत ही रह गया है।
