उत्तरकाशी। उत्तराखंड के प्रगतिशील किसान और किसान पंडित दलवीर सिंह चौहान खेती किसानी में नए आयाम गढ़ रहे हैं। असिंचित भूमि परे वर्षाजल एकत्रित कर, टपक सिंचाई विधि और माइक्रो स्प्रिंकल की तकनीक से सिंचाई करने के बाद दलवीर सिंह चौहान एक वर्ष में तीन फसलें उत्पादित कर रहे हैं। साथ ही अन्य काश्तकारों को भी समय तालिका के अनुसार फसल उत्पादन के गुर बता रहे हैं।

जिला मुख्यालय उत्तरकाशी से नौ किमी दूर स्थित कंकराड़ी गांव के दलवीर सिंह चौहान ने अपनी ढलानदार असिंचित भूमि को खेती योग्य बनाया है। सिंचाई के लिए दलवीर सिंह चौहान ने वर्षाजल को एकत्रित कर नई विधि अपनाई। उन्होंने अपने घर की छत के पानी को टैंक में एकत्रित किया, जिसे सब्जियां उगाने के लिए प्रयोग कर रहे हैं। दलवीर सिंह चौहान टपक सिंचाई की विधि से खेती और माइक्रो स्प्रिंकलर जैसी तकनीक से 0.75 हेक्टेयर भूमि पर पिछले 18 सालों से सब्जी उत्पादन कर रहे हैं।

हर बार करते हैं नए प्रयोग

खेती किसानी में हर बार दलवीर नए-नए प्रयोग करते आ रहे हैं, जिससे बेहतर नकदी फसल का उत्पादन हो रहा है। दलवीर सिंह चौहान अब एक वर्ष में तीन फसलों का उत्पादन कर रहे हैं। दलवीर सिंह चौहान बताते हैं कि सितंबर से लेकर नवंबर तक जिन खेतों फूल गोभी, बंदगोभी, मटर का उत्पादन हुआ है, उन्हीं खेतों में सब्जी वाली प्याज का उत्पादन भी किया जा रहा है। यह उत्पादन फरवरी तक जारी रहेगा। इसके बाद बींस, शिमला मिर्च, छप्पन कद्दू का उत्पादन जुलाई तक चलेगा। यह भूमि प्रबंधन का सही उपयोग है। जिन काश्तकारों के पास कम भूमि है वह इस तरह के प्रयोग कर सकते हैं। वे काश्तकारों को इसका निशुल्क रूप से प्रशिक्षण देंगे, जिससे काश्तकार अच्छा उत्पादन कर अपनी आजीविका को बढ़ा सके।

किसानी में दिखा दलवीर का अर्थशास्त्र

दलवीर ने वर्ष 1994 में गढ़वाल केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय श्रीनगर से अर्थशास्त्र में एमए करने के बाद वर्ष 1996 में बीएड किया। सामान्य किसान परिवार से ताल्लुक रखने वाले दलवीर भाई-बहनों में सबसे बड़े थे। ऐसे में उनपर परिवार की भी जिम्मेदारी थी। इसलिए उन्होंने गांव के निकट मुस्टिकसौड़ में एक प्राइवेट स्कूल में पढ़ाना शुरू कर दिया। स्कूल से मिलने वाला मानदेय परिवार चलाने के लिए नाकाफी था। इसलिए दलवीर ने खेती-किसानी में हाथ आजमाने का निर्णय लिया।

ये थी सबसे बड़ी चुनौती

इन सबके बीच सबसे बड़ी चुनौती असिंचित भूमि में पानी पहुंचाने की थी। इसके लिए दलवीर ने वर्ष 2008 में विधायक निधि की सहायता ली और एक लाख की राशि से दो किमी लंबी पानी की लाइन मुस्टिकसौड़ के एक स्रोत से जोड़ी। हालांकि, वहां भी पानी पर्याप्त नहीं था। इसलिए घर के पास ही वर्षाजल एकत्र करने के लिए एक टैंक बनाया गया। टपक सिंचाई से सब्जी उत्पादन का फैसला किया। इस विधि को समझने और लगाने में कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र चिन्यालीसौड़ के वैज्ञानिकों ने उनकी मदद की। नतीजा, असिंचित भूमि सोना उगलने लगी। वर्ष 2011 में दलवीर ने माइक्रो स्प्रिंकलर सिंचाई की तकनीक भी सीखी और फिर प्राइवेट स्कूल की नौकरी छोड़कर पूरी तरह खेती-किसानी में तल्लीन हो गए।

बेमौसमी सब्जी उत्पादन को बनाया पालीहाउस

दलवीर सिंह चौहान ने बेमौसमी सब्जी उत्पादन के लिए पालीहाउस भी बनाया, जिसमें सब्जियों की पौध भी तैयार होती है। इसकी परिणति यह हुई कि आज दलवीर उत्तरकाशी जिले के प्रगतिशील किसानों में शामिल हो गए हैं। दलवीर बताते हैं कि एक वर्ष में तीन फसलों का उत्पादन कर वह आठ से नौ लाख रुपये कमा रहे हैं। नकदी फसलों में ब्रोकली, टमाटर, आलू, छप्पन कद्दू, शिमला मिर्च, पत्ता गोभी, बैंगन, फ्रासबीन, फूल गोभी, राई, खीरा, पहाड़ी ककड़ी, पहाड़ी कद्दू का उत्पदन कर रहे हैं।

जानिए क्या है टपक सिंचाई और माइक्रो स्प्रिंकल विधि

दरअसल, दलवीर की इस भूमि पर सिंचाई के लिए कोई साधन नहीं है। नहर नहीं होने के कारण उन्होंने अलग-अलग विधियों का प्रयोग किया। इन्हीं में शामिल हैं टपक और माइक्रो स्प्रिंकल सिंचाई विधि। कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र चिन्यालीसौड के उद्यान विशेषज्ञ डा. पंकज नौटियाल ने बताया कि टपक सिंचाई पद्धति वह विधि है, जिसमें प्लास्टिक के पाइप से जल को मंद गति से बूंद-बूंद के रूप में पौधों की जड़ क्षेत्र में पहुंचाया जाता है। इससे पानी की बचत होती है, जबकि माइक्रो स्प्रिंकलर में फव्वारे सिंचाई की जाती है। इस विधि में पानी का छिड़काव प्रेशर वाले छोटे नोजल से होता है। पानी की बूंदें वर्षा की फुहार के समान पौधों के ऊपर गिरती हैं।
