नैनीताल: हाई कोर्ट ने कुमाऊं विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो एनके जोशी की नियुक्ति को चुनौती देती याचिका पर बुधवार को सुनवाई की। कार्यवाहक मुख्य न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति संजय कुमार मिश्रा व न्यायमूर्ति एनएस धानिक की खंडपीठ ने मामले में सुनवाई करते हुए कुलपति को बड़ी राहत दी है। कोर्ट ने याचिका को निस्तारित कर दिया है। इसके साथ ही साफ किया है कि याचिकाकर्ता का प्रत्यावेदन कुलाधिपति के पास लंबित है। इस आधार पर याचिका निस्तारित की जा रही है।

देहरादून के राज्य आंदोलनकारी रवींद्र जुगरान ने जनहित याचिका दायर कर नियुक्ति को चुनौती दी थी। याचिका में कहा गया था कि जोशी ने कुलपति के पद के आवेदन पत्र के साथ संलग्न बायोडाटा में गलत जानकारियां दी हैं। कुलपति के पद पर तैनाती के लिए विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग और यूपी यूनिवर्सिटीज एक्ट में नियम बने हैं। इसके लिए प्रोफेसर के पद पर 10 वर्ष का अनुभव या किसी शोध संस्थान या अकादमिक प्रशासनिक संस्थान में समान पद पर अनुभव निर्धारित किया है। बुधवार को कार्यवाहक मुख्य न्यायाधीश की अध्यक्षता वाली खंडपीठ ने याचिका को निस्तारित कर दिया। कोर्ट के आदेश से उत्साहित कुलपति प्रो जोशी ने कहा कि 2021 का साल विवि के लिए उपलब्धि से भरा रहा है।
