अब तक पर्यटकों को नैनीताल के चिडियाघर, बॉटनिकल गार्डन और नारायण नगर स्थित वॉटरफॉल तक जाने को अलग-अलग टिकट लेना पड़ता था। पर चिड़ियाघर प्रबंधन इन तीनों टूरिस्ट स्पॉट का एक पैकेज तैयार कर कॉमन टिकट सिस्टम लागू करने जा रहा है। इसके बाद एक टिकट से ही पर्यटक तीनों स्थानों की सैर कर पाएंगे।

पर यदि कोई पर्यटक इनमें से किसी एक ही जगह जाना चाहेगा तो उसे सिर्फ एक ही जगह की एंट्री देनी होगी। चिड़ियाघर निदेशक डीएफओ टीआर बीजूलाल ने बताया कि अब तक चिड़ियाघर, बॉटेनिकल गार्डन और वाटरफॉल जाने वाले पर्यटकों को अलग-अलग टिकट लेना होता है। अब एक निश्चित धनराशि में पर्यटक तीनों ही स्थलों की सैर कर पाएंगे। संयुक्त टिकट के लिए पहले के मुकाबले कुछ कम पैसे देने होंगे। 

जू का 100, बॉटनिकल गार्डन का 50 रुपये टिकट
चिडियाघर घूमने के लिए व्यस्कों को 100 रुपए टिकट देना पड़ता है जबकि बच्चों के लिए 50 रुपए टिकट रखा गया है। वहीं बॉटनिकल गार्डन व वाटरफॉल में प्रवेश के लिए 50रुपए शुल्क लिया जाता है। इस तरह प्रति पर्यटक तीनों स्थान घूमने के लिए 200 रुपए खर्च करने पड़ते हैं। संयुक्त टिकट प्रणाली लागू होने से टिकट कुछ सस्ता हो जाएगा।
