पैट्रोलिंग के दौरान हुई लैंड स्लाइडिंग में उत्तराखंड का जवान शहीद, आज पहुंचेगा पार्थिव शरीर

सियाचिन ग्लेशियर में लैंड स्लाइडिंग होने से कान्हरवाला निवासी 325 लाइट एडी हवलदार जगेंद्र सिंह चौहान शहीद हो गए। शहीद का पार्थिव शरीर 23 फरवरी तक पहुंचने की उम्मीद है। जगेंद्र सिंह के शहीद होने की सूचना मिलते ही गांव में शोक का माहौल है।

कान्हरवाला भानियावाला निवासी जगेंद्र सिंह चौहान के मामा सेवानिवृत्त कैप्टन मनवीर सिंह बिष्ट ने जगेंद्र सिंह चौहान (35) पुत्र सेवानिवृत्त सूबेदार मेजर राजेंद्र सिंह चौहान के शहीद होने की जानकारी दी। 325 लाइट एडी बैटरी कमांडर मेजर पॉल ने उनको बताया कि शहीद जगेंद्र सिंह चौहान सियाचिन ग्लेशियर में तैनात थे।

25 फरवरी को आने वाले थे घर
पैट्रोलिंग के दौरान लैंड स्लाइडिंग होने के कारण जगेंद्र सिंह शहीद हो गए। जगेंद्र सिंह चौहान 25 फरवरी को घर आने वाले थे। उनके शहीद होने की सूचना मिलते ही पत्नी किरन चौहान और माता विमला चौहान गहरे सदमे में हैं। करीब चार साल पहले उनका विवाह हुआ था।

पूर्व ग्राम प्रधान नरेंद्र सिंह नेगी ने बताया कि मूलरूप से भनस्वाड़ी, थत्यूड़ ब्लॉक, टिहरी गढ़वाल निवासी राजेंद्र सिंह चौहान पिछले 2007 से कान्हरवाला भानियावाला में निवास कर रहे थे। जगेंद्र सिंह चौहान के शहीद होने की सूचना मिलते ही गांव में शोक छा गया। लोग संवेदनाएं व्यक्त करने के लिए शहीद के आवास पर पहुंचने लगे हैं।
