रुड़की। सिविल अस्पताल के वार्ड में एक मरीज ने फांसी लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली। मरीज का नाम सुनील कुमार (37 वर्ष) निवासी सुनहरा है। सुनील कुमार मूल रूप से दिल्ली के रहने वाले हैं। काफी समय से वह सुनहरा गंगनहर कोतवाली रूडकी में रह रहे हैं। सुनील कुमार टीवी की बीमारी से पीड़ित थे। 15 फरवरी को तबीयत बिगड़ने पर उन्हें सिविल अस्पताल के वार्ड में भर्ती कराया गया था।

रविवार की रात उन्होंने वार्ड में ही फंदा लगाकर फांसी लगा ली। उनके पास उनका भांजा राकेश भी देख-रेख करने के लिए वही पर था। लेकिन उस समय भांजा सोया हुआ था। किसी को भी इसका पता नहीं चला। रात करीब 12:30 बजे जब किसी ने फंदे से शव लटका देखा तो शोर मचा दिया। जिसके बाद काफी संख्या में अस्पताल कर्मचारी और अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंचे। इसके बाद गंगनहर कोतवाली पुलिस को सूचना दी गई। पुलिस ने शव कब्जे में लिया है। गंगनहर कोतवाली प्रभारी निरीक्षक एश्वर्यपाल ने बताया कि पुलिस ने शव को कब्जे में लिया है। मामले की छानबीन की जा रही है।

प्रभारी निरीक्षक ने बताया कि स्वजन से बातचीत में पता चला है कि सुनील कुमार बीमारी से काफी परेशान थे। इसके चलते ही बीमारी को आत्महत्या की वजह माना जा रहा है।
