कोटद्वार। जोधा फिल्म्स के बैनर तले बन रही फीचर फिल्म ‘चक्रव्यूह’ में कोटद्वार के सतपुली के रिंगवाड़ गांव निवासी पदमेंद्र सिंह रावत विलेन की भूमिका में नजर आएंगे। वर्तमान में फिल्म की शूटिंग कुमाऊं क्षेत्र के चंपावत में चल रही है। फिल्म का मुख्य उद्देश्य युवाओं को पहाड़ की संस्कृति से अवगत करवाना है। फिल्म को गढ़वाली, कुमाऊंनी के साथ ही हिंदी भाषा में रिलीज किया जाएगा।

मूल रूप से सतपुली क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत पट्टी असवालस्यूं के रिंगवाड़ गांव निवासी पदमेंद्र सिंह रावत वर्तमान में दिल्ली पुलिस में इंस्पेक्टर के पद पर तैनात हैं। पदमेंद्र फिल्म भंवरे व टीवी सीरियल क्राइम पेट्रोल, एयरलाइंस के साथ ही दस से अधिक गढ़वाली फिल्मों में काम कर चुके हैं। इन दिनों डायरेक्टर सुशीला रावत के निर्देशन में बनाई जा रही फिल्म चक्रव्यूह में उन्हें लीड रोल दिया गया है।

पदमेंद्र बताते हैं कि फिल्म में वह एक विलेन का रोल निभा रहे हैं, जो अपने निजी स्वार्थों के लिए पहाड़ के सीधे-सादे ग्रामीणों को ठगता है। फिल्म में सभी कलाकार गढ़वाली व कुमाऊंनी पारंपरिक परिधान में नजर आएंगे। बताया कि इससे हमारी आने वाली पीढ़ी को अपने पहाड़ के परिधानों के बारे में जानकारी मिलेगी।
