हल्द्वानी : फतेहपुर रेंज के आबादी क्षेत्र में रहने वाले लोगों के लिए जंगल में जाना अब जान पर बन चुका है। एक के बाद एक छह लोग वन्यजीवों के हमले में अपनी जान गंवा चुके हैं। मवेशियों के लिए चारा और सूखी लकडिय़ों के चक्कर में लोग घर से घने जंगल पहुंच रहे हैं।

ऐसे में वन विभाग ने अब जिला प्रशासन से मदद मांगी है। ताकि लोगों को जंगल में जाने से रोका जा सके। डीएफओ रामनगर सीएस जोशी के मुताबिक फतेहपुर रेंज से सटे तीस राजस्व ग्राम चिन्हित किए गए हैं। यहां के बाशिंदों से जंगल में न जाने की अपील करने के साथ डीएम से पुलिस व राजस्वकर्मियों की मांग भी की है। ताकि जंगल में एंट्री को सख्ती से रोका जा सके।

दिसंबर से अब तक फतेहपुर रेंज के जंगल में छह लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है। दो लोग दमुवाढूंगा के रहने वाले थे। इसके अलावा भद्यूनी, बजूनिया हल्दू, पनियाली और काठगोदाम टंगर से चार लोगों की मौत हुई थी।

वनकर्मी लगातार लोगों से जंगल न जाने के लिए कह रहे हैं। मगर स्टाफ की संख्या कम होने के कारण प्रभावी निगरानी नहीं हो पा रही थी। ऐसे में डीएफओ ने डीएम से पुलिस व राजस्वकर्मियों के तौर पर अतिरिक्त फोर्स देने की मांग की है। इस बाबत पत्र भेज दिया गया है।

तीन रेंज का स्टाफ मिला

रामनगर डिवीजन में कुल पांच रेंज आती है। फतेहपुर में बाघ के आतंक को देखते हुए डीएफओ ने तीन अन्य रेंजों का स्टाफ भी फतेहपुर भेजा है। इसमें डिप्टी रेंजर के अलावा वन दारोगा भी शामिल है। आबादी किनारे गश्त के अलावा जंगल में बाघ की तलाश में भी इन वनकर्मियों को जुटाया जाएगा

डीएफओ रामनगर सीएस जोशी ने बताया कि पूरी संभावना है कि घटनाओं के पीछे एक ही बाघ है। डब्लूआइआइ की टीम पहुंच चुकी है। शिकारी भी आने वाले हैं। लोगों से अपील है कि जंगल क्षेत्र में न जाए। वन विभाग के कर्मचारी पूरी गंभीरता से लोगों की सुरक्षा में जुटे हैं। किसी भी सूचना पर तुरंत महकमे को सूचित करें। स्टाफ और सभी संसाधन अभियान में जुटाए गए हैं।
