अल्मोड़ा: जीबी पंत राष्ट्रीय हिमालयी पर्यावरण संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों ने कहा कि जंगलों की आग से हवा में 50 फीसद तक ब्लैक कार्बन की मात्रा बढ़ गई है। जिसने पहाड़ की शुद्ध हवा को जहरीला बना दिया है। इससे तापमान में 0.9 डिग्री सेल्सिय की वृद्धि भी हो गई है। पर्यावरणीय दृष्टि से बेहद खतरनाक जंगल की आग का असर आंधी-तूफान, बाढ़, बादल फटने, तेजी से ग्लेशियर पिघलने की घटनाओं के रुप में दिखाई देगा। ग्लेशियर भी तेजी से पिघलेंगे।

जंगलों की आग से निकलने वाला ब्लैक कार्बन जहां पर्यावरण को नुकसान कर रहा है वहीं यह धरती के तापमान को भी बढ़ा है। ब्लैक कार्बन पूरे इको सिस्टम पर असर डाल रहा है। जंगल की आग से हवा, पानी प्रदूषित हो रही है। जिसका स्वास्थ्य पर तो प्रतिकूल असर पड़ रहा है। वहीं ब्लैक कार्बन ने पेड़-पौधों की फोटोसिंथेसिस प्रक्रिया को भी प्रभावित किया है। क्लोरोफिल कम होने से पेड़-पौधों को नुकसान होने लगा है।

जीबी पंत हिमालयी पर्यावरण संस्थान के वैज्ञानिक डा. जेसी कुनियाल ने बताया कि जंगल की आग का असर दिखाई देने लगा है। ब्लैक कार्बन 50 फीसद से अधिक और टीएसपी, पीएम 10 भी वातावरण में डेढ़ गुना तक बढ़ गया है। पर्यावरणीय बदलाव दिखाई दे रहे हैं। तापमान भी बढ़ने लगा है। रिसर्च के अनुसार पहाड़ के तापमान में लगभग 0.9 डिग्री सेल्सियस की वृद्धि हुई है। वहीं इसका असर कृषि, बागवानी पर भी दिखाई दे रहा है।

जंगल की आग से वायुमंडल का तापमान तो बढ़ रहा है। धरती का तापमान कूलिंग इफेक्ट से कम हो रहा है। जिससे प्रकृति की सामान्य प्रक्रिया गड़बड़ा रही है। इसके प्रभाव से तेज हवाएं, आंधी-तूफान आएंगे। जंगलों में आद्रता कम होने से बादल फटने की घटना बढ़ेंगी। 
क्या है ब्लैक कार्बन
ब्लैक कार्बन जीवाश्म, ईधन, लकड़ी व अन्य ईधन के अपूर्ण दहन से उत्सर्जित कणिकीय पदार्थ है। जो वायुमंडल के तापमान को बढ़ाता है। यह वायु मंडल में उत्सर्जन के कुछ दिनों से सप्ताह तक स्थिर रहने वाला एक अल्पकालिक जलवायु प्रदूषक है।
