हल्द्वानी: शहर के ईएनटी चिकित्सक से तीन करोड़ की रंगदारी मांगने के मामले में पुलिस ने पिता-पुत्र को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। पुलिस पूछताछ में यह बात सामने आई कि काल पर रंगदारी मांगने व रंगदारी नहीं देने पर बच्चे के अपहरण की धमकी देने वाला 10 साल का बच्चा है। हालांकि पुलिस की पूछताछ अभी जारी है।

एसएसपी पंकज भट्ट के मुताबिक रामपुर रोड पर डा. वैभव कुच्छल का गर्व डायग्नोस्टिक सेंटर एंड हास्पिटल एवं आवास है। डा. वैभव ने पुलिस को बताया कि नौ मई की शाम करीब छह बजे उन्हें एक अज्ञात नंबर से काल आई। पहली बार आवाज सुनने में लगा कि कोई बच्चा बात कर रहा है।

डाक्टर वैभव के मुताबिक दोबारा काल कर धमकाते हुए तीन करोड़ की डिमांड की गई। रकम न देने पर बच्चे के अपहरण की धमकी दी गई। उसके बाद भी उसी नंबर से काल आया, लेकिन उन्होंने रिसीव नहीं किया। पुलिस ने मोबाइल नंबर के आधार पर अज्ञात व्यक्ति के विरुद्ध रंगदारी और धमकाने का मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया गया है।

मंगलवार को चिकित्सक ने इस मामले में एसएसपी पंकज भट्ट से मुलाकात भी की। एसएसपी ने बताया कि मोबाइल नंबर सर्विलांस पर लगाया गया। उसके आधार पर टीम हापुड भेजी गई। साथ ही चिकित्सक के अस्पताल व आवास के बाहर दो पुलिसकर्मी भी तैनात कर दिए गए थे।

उन्होंने बताया कि टीम हापुड़ में कारपेंटर व उसके बेटे को ले आई है। पूछताछ में कारपेंटर ने बताया कि काल उनके 10 साल के बच्चे ने किया। पुलिस जांच में काल पर बच्चे की आवाज आई है। पुलिस इस बात की तस्दीक कर रही है कि बच्चे ने काल आखिर कैसे किया। क्या पहले बच्चे का परिवार डाक्टर के पास इलाज करवाने आया था। एसएसपी के मुताबिक पूछताछ अभी जारी है।
