रामनगर : रामनगर के गिरिजा मंदिर में जंगली हाथी इन दिनों उत्पात मचा रहा है। रात में मंदिर परिसर में घुस आए जंगली हाथी ने मुरादाबाद के श्रद्धालु की कार को क्षतिग्रस्त कर दिया। हाथी के आने से मंदिर परिसर में खतरा बना हुआ है।

रामनगर वन प्रभाग के जंगल से इन दिनों गिरिजा मंदिर परिसर में जंगली हाथी की आवाजाही बनी हुई है। बुधवार शाम को मुरादाबाद से कुछ लोग गिरिजा मंदिर में गुरुवार को होने वाले भंडारे के लिए आए थे। वह रात में सुबह के लिए भंडारे की तैयारी कर रहे थे। उन्होंने अपने वाहन पार्किंग में खड़े किए हुए थे।

रात में जंगल से आया हाथी पार्किंग में घुस गया। उसने मोहित वर्मा की कार को क्षतिग्रस्त कर दिया। कार के पीछे के शीशे फोड़ दिए। कार में भी सूंड मारकर उसे डैमेज कर दिया। गुरुवार सुबह लोगों को हाथी के उत्पात की जानकारी मिली। प्रसाद विक्रेता शिबू पांडे ने बताया कि हाथी से श्रद्धालुओं को खतरा बना हुआ है।

उन्होंने बताया कि इन दिनों बाहर से श्रद्धालु काफी संख्या में मंदिर में भंडारे के लिए पहुंच रहे हैं। भीड़ अधिक होने से वह पार्किंग में बाहर ही टैक्टर ट्राली में रात बिता रहे हैं। रात में हाथी से उन्हें खतरा बना हुआ है। हाथी पिछले कुछ समय से लगातार पार्किंग स्थल में आ रहा है । दुकानदारों ने मंदिर परिसर में हाथी को रोकने के लिए वन विभाग से गश्त कराए जाने की मांग की है।
