नैनीताल: केंद्रीय खान मंत्रालय के संयुक्त सचिव व जलशक्ति अभियान के नोडल अफसर उपेंद्र जोशी ने कहा है कि अभियान के तहत बारिश के पानी के अधिकाधिक संचय का टारगेट रखा गया है।

सरकारी भवनों के निर्माण में रेनवाटर हार्वेस्टिंग को अनिवार्य बनाया गया है तो निजी भवनों में भी इसे जनांदोलन के रूप में आगे बढ़ाया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि 15 अगस्त तक जिले में 30 प्रतिशत अमृत सरोवर निर्माण का लक्ष्य है जबकि एक साल में सौ फीसद लक्ष्य हासिल करना है।

शनिवार को नैनीताल क्लब में अधिकारियों की बैठक के दौरान पत्रकारों से बातचीत में संयुक्त सचिव ने कहा कि नैनीताल जिले में अब तक 88 अमृत सरोवर के लिए स्थान चयनित किया जा चुका है। यहां कुछ स्थानों पर सरोवर निर्माण शुरू भी हो चुका है। मनरेगा के अंतर्गत भी जल संरक्षण के कार्यों को प्राथमिकता दी जा रही है। अमृत सरोवर के साथ ही चेकडैम, चालखाल निर्माण के साथ पौधरोपण भी किया जा रहा है।

भवाली में शिप्रा नदी को पुनर्जीवित करने का काम शुरू हो चुका है। जलागम प्रबंधन भी किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत सरकार के स्तर से इन कामों की मॉनिटरिंग की जा रही है। हर काम की जियो टैगिंग होगी। इस अवसर पर सीडीओ डॉ संदीप तिवारी, डीडीओ गोपाल गिरी गोस्वामी, समेत अधिकारी उपस्थित थे
