दो साल बाद बुधवार को कैंची मेला आयोजित हुआ। बाबा नीब करौरी महाराज के देसी-विदेशी भक्त यहां पहुंचे हैं। कोरोना के मद्देनजर दो साल बाद इस बार मेला आयोजित किया गया है। ऐसे में एक लाख से अधिक श्रद्धालुओं के पहुंचने की उम्मीद है। मंदिर ट्रस्ट भक्तजनों के ठहरने, प्रसाद और मार्गों की व्यवस्थाओं में जुटा हुआ है।

बाबा नीम करौली महाराज को भोग लगाने के साथ कैंची मेल में सुबह से श्रद्धालुओं का तांता लगना शुरू हुआ। सुबह चार बजे से ही लोग कैंची मेले को लेकर कैंची धाम पहुंचे। सुबह 10 बजे तक 25 हजार से अधिक लोग दर्शन कर चुके हैं।अल्मोड़ा मार्ग पर भवाली से आठ किमी दूर बने कैंची धाम में हर वर्ष 15 जून को प्रतिष्ठा दिवस मनाया जाता है।

इस मौके पर भक्तजनों के लिए प्रसाद के लिए मालपुए बनाए जाते हैं। भक्त सबसे पहले विंध्यवासिनी देवी के दर्शन करते हैं। देवी की स्थापना 15 जून 1973 को हुई थी। इसके बाद बजरंग बली, शिवजी और फिर वैष्णो देवी के दर्शन करने के बाद बाबा की प्रतिमा के आगे मत्था टेकते हैं। यहां वैष्णो देवी की स्थापना 15 जून 1974 को हुई थी।  

भक्तों की आस्था है कि बाबा नीब करौरी महाराज स्वयं मंदिर में किसी न किसी रूप में मौजूद हैं। मंदिर ट्रस्ट के पदाधिकारियों की ओर से इस बार भी मेले की व्यापक तैयारियां की गईं हैं। ट्रस्ट के प्रबंधक विनोद जोशी के मुताबिक मेले में भीड़ बढ़ने की संभावना को देखते हुए अतिरिक्त द्वार बनाए गए हैं। साथ ही मेले के लिए पुलिस प्रशासन भी जुट गया है। उत्तराखंड परिवहन निगम मेले के लिए नैनीताल से विशेष बसें चला रहा है। मंदिर स्थल के बाहर पुलिस की ओर विशेष काउंटर लगाया गया है। मंदिर में मालपुए बनने का क्रम 12 जून से शुरू हो चुका है। 

मेले को सफल बनाने के लिए पुलिस और जिला प्रशासन की टीम और मंदिर समिति के पदाधिकारी लगे हुए हैं। भवाली में दोपहिया वाहन चालकों को रोककर शटल सेवा और टैक्सियों वाहनों के माध्यम से श्रद्धालुओं को कैंची धाम तक पहुंचाया जा रहा है। कैंची धाम में जगह-जगह लंबा जाम लगने से श्रद्धालुओं को समस्या का सामना करना पड़ा। एसएसपी पंकज भट्ट को भी जाम में फंसे रहना पड़ा।

भवाली और खैरना की ओर से आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं को चार किमी की लाइन में लगकर कैंची धाम में प्रवेश मिला। एसएसपी पंकज भट्ट ने बताया कि मेले को सफल बनाने के लिए पुलिस कर्मी लगातार व्यवस्था बनाए हुए हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि लोग लाइन में लगकर बाबा के दर्शन कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से चप्पे-चप्पे पर पुलिस फोर्स मुस्तैद है।

वहीं श्रद्धालु बाबा नीम करौली महाराज के दर्शन के साथ मालपुए का प्रसाद पाकर खुश नजर आए। साथ ही श्रद्धालु बाबा के जयकारे के साथ मंदिर परिसर में प्रवेश करते रहे। मेले पर एडीएम शिवचरण द्विवेदी, एसडीएम योगेश सिंह मेहरा, एसडीएम राहुल साह, हल्द्वानी एसपी सिटी हरबंस सिंह, एसपी सिटी क्राइम डॉ जगदीश चंद्र, सीओ प्रमोद साह मंदिर परिसर में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को लेकर जुटे हुए हैं।

वर्ष 1964 से कैंचीधाम में 15 जून को विशाल भंडारा लगता आ रहा है। पिछले कुछ वर्षों में भक्तजनों को मालपुए दिए जाते हैं। ट्रस्ट प्रबंधकों के मुताबिक वर्ष 1990 में मेले के दौरान यहां 45000 श्रद्धालु पहुंचे थे। यह संख्या लगातार बढ़ती जा रही है। वर्ष 1994 में 80000 और उसके बाद के वर्षों से यहां एक लाख से ज्यादा श्रद्धालु पहुंच रहे हैं।
