उत्तराखंड में बिजली दरों में बढ़ोतरी की उत्तराखंड पावर कारपोरेशन लिमिटेड (यूपीसीएल) की याचिका नियामक आयोग ने खारिज कर दी है। यूपीसीएल ने भारी डिमांड के बीच बाजार से महंगी बिजली खरीद के चलते दोबारा दरों में बढ़ोतरी की यह याचिका दायर की थी।

यूपीसीएल ने मई माह में उत्तराखंड विद्युत नियामक आयोग में याचिका दायर करते हुए कहा था कि बिजली की भारी मांग और कम उपलब्धता की वजह से महंगे दामों पर बिजली खरीदनी पड़ ही है। यूपीसीएल ने अप्रैल से सितंबर की अवधि में निगम को करीब 922 करोड़ रुपये खर्च करने की जरूरत बताई थी।

निगम ने यह वसूली एडिशनल एनर्जी चार्ज के तौर पर लेने को कहा था। आयोग ने इस याचिका को स्वीकार या अस्वीकार करने के लिए छह जून को जनसुनवाई की थी। इसके बाद आयोग ने बैठक की और यूपीसीएल की याचिका का खारिज कर दिया।

आयोग के सचिव नीरज सती ने बताया कि इसके पीछे मुख्य वजह यह है कि एक अप्रैल से प्रदेश में बिजली दरों का नया टैरिफ जारी किया गया था। उसके सापेक्ष निगम ने जो याचिका दायर की थी, उसमें ऐसा मजबूत आधार जैसे कोई नया बदलाव नहीं था, जिससे दरों में कोई संशोधन किया जा सके। इस आधार पर आयोग ने इस याचिका को खारिज कर दिया। 
 

यूपीसीएल प्रबंधन ने कहा, पुनर्विचार याचिका दायर करेंगे

बिजली दरों में बढ़ोतरी की याचिका रद्द होने के बाद अब यूपीसीएल प्रबंधन ने पुनर्विचार याचिका की तैयारी शुरू कर दी है। यूपीसीएल के एमडी अनिल कुमार ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार के कटौतीमुक्त आपूर्ति, चारधाम यात्रा, उद्योगों में कटौती होने पर जीएसटी के नुकसान और बेरोजगारी से बचाव के चलते ही बढ़ोतरी की याचिका दायर की गई थी। अब वह आयोग में पुनर्विचार याचिका दायर करेंगे।
यह था बढ़ोतरी का प्रस्ताव
बीपीएल उपभोक्ताओं के लिए 25 पैसे प्रति यूनिट, डोमेस्टिक उपभोक्ताओं के लिए करीब 50 पैसे प्रति यूनिट और उद्योग व कामर्शियल उपभोक्ताओं के लिए 75 पैसे प्रति यूनिट बढ़ोतरी की मांग की गई थी।
