शनिवार को यमुनोत्री हाईवे खनेड़ा के पास चट्टान दरकने के कारण अवरुद्ध हो गया है। हाईवे पर सुबह से यातायात ठप है। यमुनोत्री धाम जाने व आने वाले तीर्थयात्री हाईवे खुलने का इंतजार कर रहे है। एनएच की मशीनें हाईवे खोलने में जुटी है।

एनएच ने तीर्थयात्रियों की आवाजाही के लिए हाईवे को जल्द खोलने का दावा किया है। यमुनाघाटी क्षेत्र में देर रात से रुक रुक कर बारिश का सिलसिला जारी है। जिला आपदा प्रबंधन अधिकारी देवेंद्र पटवाल ने बताया कि हाईवे को खोलने का काम लगातार जारी है।

दूसरी ओर मोरी ब्लाक के चांगसिल बुग्याल में बिजली गिरने से 36 भेड़-बकरियां मर गई। वाइल्ड लाइफ सेंचूरी क्षेत्र के भीतरी गांव के ग्रामीणो की भेड़ बकरिया आजकल चुगान पर बुग्याल क्षेत्र में है। भीतरी गांव के प्रधान राजीव कुंवर ने इसकी जानकारी स्थानीय प्रशासन को दी। स्थानीय प्रशासन ने राजस्व विभाग की टीम मौके पर भेज दी है। तहसीलदार चमन सिंह ने बताया कि राजस्व उप निरीक्षक को मौके पर भेज दिया है।
