कांवड़ मेले के लिए गांजा लेकर आई यूपी की दो सगी बहनों सहित तीन लोगों को हरिद्वार पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस का दावा है कि तीनों आरोपी यूपी के मैनपुरी जनपद के रहने वाले हैं और कुछ दिन पहले ही रुडकी आए थे, जहां से उन्होंने कांवड़ में गांजा सप्लाई की योजना बनाई थी।

लेकिन इससे पहले ही पुलिस ने इनको धर दबोचा। पुलिस ने इनके कब्जे से 13 किलो गांजा बरामद किया है। वहीं तीनों ने कई अहम जानकारी पुलिस को दी है। हरकी पैडी चौकी प्रभारी मुकेश थलेडी ने बताया कि कांवड के मद्दनेजर विशेष सतर्कता बरती जा रही है। इसी क्रम में कांगडा घाट पर तीन लोगों की संदिग्ध गतिविधियां रिकार्ड की गई जिसके बाद तीनों की पुलिस ने तलाशी ली।

इस दौरान उनके पास से गांजा बरामद हुआ। हिरासत में लेकर की गई पूछताछ में महिलाओं ने अपनी शिनाख्त उर्मिला और सुनीता के तौर पर बताई है। जबक युवक की शिनाख्त धर्मवीर निवासी मैनपुरी के तौर पर हुई है। पुलिस ने तीनों के खिलाफ एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया है। वहीं अन्य आरोपियों की तलाश में जुट गई है।
