चिन्यालीसौड़ (उत्तरकाशी) : उत्तराखंड से लगी चीन सीमा की सुरक्षा को लेकर वायु सेना ने गतिविधियां बढ़ा दी हैं। शुक्रवार के बाद शनिवार को भी चिन्यालीसौड़ हवाई पट्टी पर वायुसेना के मल्टीपरपज माल वाहक विमान एएन-32 ने उड़ान भरी। इस दौरान लैंडिंग और टेक आफ का प्रशिक्षण लिया गया।

चिन्यालीसौड़ में ही रुकी वायु सेना की संचार टीम

सूत्रों के अनुसार वायु सेना चिन्यालीसौड़ हवाई पट्टी को अस्थायी एयर बेस बनाने की तैयारी में है। इस संबंध में अभी अंतिम निर्णय नहीं लिया है। वायु सेना की संचार टीम चिन्यालीसौड़ में ही रुकी हुई है।

शुक्रवार को एएन-32 ने भरी थीं तीन उड़ान

बताया जा रहा कि वायु सेना का यह विमान ग्वालियर एयर बेस से आया है। शुक्रवार को वायु सेना के मल्टीपरपज विमान एएन-32 ने हवाई पट्टी पर तीन बार सुरक्षित लैंडिंग और टेकआफ किया। पायलट दल ने आसमान में चक्कर लगाकर रन-वे को सुरक्षित लैंडिंग के लिए अनुकूल पाया।

बताया जा रहा कि वायु सेना चिन्यालीसौड़ हवाई पट्टी को अस्थायी एयर बेस बना सकती है। पूर्व में वायु सेना की टीम ने हवाई पट्टी पर मौजूद सुविधाओं के अलावा उत्तराखंड जल-विद्युत निगम के गेस्ट हाउस का भी निरीक्षण किया था।

सामरिक दृष्टि से महत्‍वपूर्ण है यह हवाई पट्टी

  • चिन्यालीसौड़ हवाई पट्टी से भारत-चीन सीमा करीब 126 किमी की हवाई दूरी पर है।
  • केदारनाथ आपदा के दौरान सीजे-हरक्यूलिस विमान इस हवाई पट्टी पर उतरा था।
  • डोकलाम विवाद और गलवन घाटी में सीमा पर बढ़े गतिरोध के बाद यहां भी सेना अलर्ट हुई थी।
  • अप्रैल 2018 में वायु सेना ने हवाई पट्टी पर गगन शक्ति अभ्यास किया था।
  • दिसंबर 2019 में यहां वायु सेना के 52 सीटर मल्टीपरपज विमान और डोनियर डीओ-228 विमान ने सफलतापूर्वक लैंडिग और टेकआफ किया।
