रुद्रपुर (ऊधमसिंह नगर) : उत्तराखंड का सबसे ऊंचा तिरंगा झंडा रुद्रपुर के गांधी पार्क में लहरा रहा है। बीते साल मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने इसका शुभारंभ किया था। तब सीएम ने कहा था कि रुद्रपुर के लिए गर्व की बात है, जो यहां उत्तराखंड का सबसे ऊंचा ध्वज फहराया गया।

28 लाख से हुआ है उत्तराखंड के सबसे ऊंचे तिरंगे का निर्माण
181 फीट ऊंचे तिरंगे के लिए विधायक निधि से 28 लाख रुपये खर्च किए गए थे। ग्रामीण निर्माण विभाग की ओर से स्टार सेल्स कम्पनी के सहयोग से 47 दिनों में इसका निर्माण कराया गया था। शुभारंभ अवसर पर सीएम धामी ने करीब एक हजार बलून और शांति के प्रतीक कबूतरों को उड़ाया था।

कोलकाता से मंगाया गया था तिरंगा
उत्तराखंड के सबसे ऊंचे तिरंगे झंडे को बनाने के लिए कलकत्ता से मैटिरियल मंगाया गया था। स्टार सेल्स के कर्मचारी व विभोर बठला ने बताया कि तिरंगे झंडे का स्तम्भ 51 मीटर है, जो लगभग 181 फीट है। जिसे सूर्या कंपनी से मंगाया गया है। स्टार सेल्स ने इसकी नींव 15 अगस्त को रखी थी।

47वें दिन सीएम ने किया था शुभारंभ
तिरंगा फहराने के लिए करीब 46 दिनों में पाेल लगाने का काम पूरा हुआ था। 47वें दिन सीएम पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने इसे फहराया था। तिरंगे झंडे की लंबाई और चौड़ाई 36×54 फीट है। जिसमें सौ फीसद पोलिस्टर कपड़े का प्रयोग किया गया है। स्टार सेल्स कम्पनी द्वारा एक साल तक इसका रख रखाव किया जाएगा। तिरंगा थिकनेस 197 जीएसएम है।

कर्नाटक में है देश का सबसे ऊंचा तिरंगा
कर्नाटक के बेलगाम में देश का सबसे ऊंचा झंडा फहरा रहा है। झंडे की ऊंचाई 110 मीटर (360.8 फीट) है। इससे पहले पंजाब के अटारी पर भारत-पाकिस्तान बॉर्डर पर लगा तिरंगा सबसे ऊंचा था। बेलगाम का तिरंगा इस तिरंगे से एक फीट ऊंचा है। बेलगाम को टूरिस्ट को बढ़ावा देने के लिए यह स्पॉट बनाया गया है।
