शहीद चंद्रशेखर का पार्थिव शरीर हल्द्वानी पहुंच गया है। शहीद चंद्रशेखर का पार्थिव शरीर मंगलवार को घर नहीं पहुंच सका था। स्थानीय लोगों ने शहीद को सम्मान और श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए पूरी गली को ही तिरंगामय कर दिया। अंतिम विदाई देने के लिए फूलों से सजी गाड़ी भी तैयार हो चुकी है। जब पता चला कि पार्थिव शरीर आज नहीं लाया जा सकेगा तो मायूसी छा गई।

मंगलवार को मेयर जोगेंद्र सिंह रौतेला भी शहीद के घर पहुंचे और परिजनों को ढांढस बंधाया। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी शहीद के घर के लिए रवाना हो गए हैं। सियाचिन में 38 साल पहले शहीद हुए लांसनायक चंद्रशेखर की पार्थिव देह खराब मौसम के चलते मंगलवार को घर नहीं लायी जा सकी। प्रशासनिक अधिकारियों के मुताबिक लेह-लद्दाख में मौसम सामान्य होते ही पार्थिव शरीर को हल्द्वानी लाया जाएगा।

द्वाराहाट (अल्मोड़ा) के हाथीगुर बिंता निवासी चंद्रशेखर हर्बोला 19-कुमाऊं रेजीमेंट में लांसनायक थे। मई 1984 में सियाचिन में पेट्रोलिंग के दौरान 20 सैनिकों की टुकड़ी ग्लेशियर की चपेट में आ गई थी। इनमें लांसनायक चंद्रशेखर हर्बोला समेत किसी भी सैनिक के बचने की उम्मीद नहीं रही।
