अल्मोड़ा: उत्तराखंड के अल्मोड़ा जिले के भिकियासैंण में प्रेम विवाह करने पर ससुराल वालों ने अपहरण के बाद उत्तराखंड परिवर्तन पार्टी के दलित नेता जगदीश चंद्र की हत्या कर दी। वर्ग सघर्ष की आशंका में भिकियासैंण को छावनी में तब्दील हो गया है।

घटना के बाद से पुलिस प्रशासन में हड़कंप मचा हुआ है। पुलिस ने हत्यारोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। शव पोस्टमार्टम के लिए रानीखेत भेज दिया गया है। वर्ग विशेष से मामला जुड़ा होने के कारण विशेष सतर्कता बरती जा रही है।

सल्ट के पनुवाधौखन निवासी जगदीश चंद्र पुत्र केश राम और भिकियासैंण निवासी गीता उर्फ गुड्डी ने बीते 21 अगस्त को गैराड़ मंदिर में प्रेम विवाह किया था। शादी से पहले गुड्डी अपने सौतेले पिता जोगा सिंह और सौतेले भाई गोविंद सिंह, भावना पत्नी जोगा सिंह के साथ रहती थी।

दोनों का प्रेम विवाह गुड्डी के सौतेले भाई और पिता को रास नहीं आया। बीते गुरुवार को जगदीश के ससुराल वालों ने जगदीश चंद्र को भिकियासैंण में पकड़ लिया था। उसके बाद वह लोग जगदीश चंद्र का एक गाड़ी से अपहरण कर ले गए। उसके बाद बेरहमी से जगदीश की हत्या कर दी। सूचना पर पुलिस और राजस्व की टीम ने देर शाम गाड़ी से जगदीश का लहुलूहान शव बरामद कर लिया।

उत्तराखंड परिवर्तन पार्टी के केंद्रीय अध्यक्ष पीसी तिवारी ने बताया कि उत्तराखंड परिवर्तन पार्टी से जगदीश चंद्र दो बार विधानसभा चुनाव लड़ चुके हैंं। तहसीलदार निशा रानी ने बताया की पूूरे मामले की जांच की जा रही है। आरोपित पकड़ लिए गये है।

भिकियासेन पुलिस छावनी में तब्दील
मामले को देखते हुए सल्ट भतरोजखान आदि क्षेत्र की पुलिस मौके पर पहुंच गई हैं। किसी प्रकार की कोई गड़बड़ी न हो इसलिए सतर्कता बरती जा रही है। पुलिस राजस्व पुलिस पूरे मामले पर नजर बनाए हुए हैं।

2022 में लड़ा सल्ट विधानसभा चुनाव
मृतक जगदीश चंद्र ने 2022 में सल्ट विधानसभा से उत्तराखंड परिवर्तन पार्टी के टिकट पर चुनाव लड़ा था। वह प्लंबर का कार्य करता है और क्षेत्र में काफी लोकप्रिय भी है, उसकी छवि को देखते हुए पार्टी का टिकट भी दिया था।
