हल्द्वानी : हल्द्वानी के प्रतिष्ठित कुमाऊं ज्वेलर्स (Kumaon Jewelers) स्वामी के बेटे राजीव वर्मा पर घर के बाहर बाइक सवार बदमाशों ने बुधवार देर रात फायरिंग कर दी। गनीमत रही कि गोली कार में लगी। निशाना चूकने के बाद बदमाश दोबारा घर के बाहर पहुंचे। लेकिन पुलिस को देखते ही फरार हो गए। बताया जा रहा है कि लारेंस विश्नोई गैंग से धमकी मिली थी।

हीरानगर निवासी शिवशरण वर्मा की कुमाऊं ज्वेलर्स के नाम से दुकान है। बुधवार देर रात उनके बेटे राजीव दुकान बंद कर दोस्त के साथ कार से घर पहुंचे। गेट खोलने के लिए वह कार से उतर ही थे कि घर के बाहर पहले से मौजूद बाइक सवार दो बदमाशों ने उनपर फायरिंग कर दी। गोली कार के पिछले हिस्से में लगी।

यह देख राजीव ने दरवाजा बंद कर पुलिस को जानकारी दी और कार को कोतवाली की तरफ मोड़ लिया। इस बीच एसपी सिटी हरबंस सिंह, सीओ सिटी भूपेंद्र सिंह धोनी व कोतवाल हरेंद्र चौधरी टीम के साथ मौके पर पहुंच गए।

दोबारा हत्या के नियत से लौटे बदमाश
पुलिस राजीव को घर में ले जाकर पूछताछ कर ही रही थी कि बाइक सवार बदमाश दोबारा वहां पहुंच गए। जांच में कार के अंदर पिस्टल की गोली बरामद हुई। पुलिस राजीव को घर में ले जाकर पूछताछ कर रही थी कि बाइक सवार बदमाश दोबारा वहां पहुंच गए। लेकिन पुलिस को देखते ही फरार हो गए। पुलिस अधिकारियों के अनुसार शुरुआती जांच में मनोज अधिकारी का नाम सामने आ रहा है। वह पहले भी राजीव को कई बार फोन पर धमकी दे चुका है।

बदमाशों की तलाश जारी : एसपी सिटी
एसपी सिटी हरबंश सिंह ने बताया कि बाइक सवार बदमाश फायरिंग के बाद फरार हो गए। उनकी तलाश की जा रही है। पुलिस जल्द सभी को गिरफ्तार कर लेगी। ज्वेलर्स की सुरक्षा बढ़ा दी गई है।
