कांग्रेस की भारत जोड़ो यात्रा के दूसरे चरण की शुरुआत हरकी पैड़ी से पूजा अर्चना के साथ की गई। कांग्रेस के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष करण माहरा ने हरिद्वार पहुंचकर यात्रा का शुभारंभ किया। हरकी पैड़ी से यात्रा शिव मूर्ति चौक तक निकाली गई। इसके बाद कांग्रेस के पदाधिकारियों ने कार्यकर्ताओं को संबोधित किया। यहां से यात्रा ज्वालापुर के लिए रवाना हो गई। ज्वालापुर के बाद लक्सर के सुल्तानपुर में यात्रा निकाली जाएगी।

इस दौरान प्रदेश संगठन महासचिव विजय सारस्वत, मथुरा दत्त जोशी, मेयर अनिता शर्मा, विधायक रवि बहादुर, पार्षद राजीव भार्गव, पूर्व पालिकाध्यक्ष सतपाल ब्रह्मचारी, अमन गर्ग, अशोक शर्मा, पूर्व राज्यमंत्री नईम कुरैशी, रफी खान आदि मौजूद रहे।

प्रदेश अध्यक्ष करण माहरा ने कहा कि भारत जोड़ो यात्रा में प्रदेश में कई मुद्दों और समस्याओं को लेकर सरकार पर हमला बोला जाएगा। यात्रा में भाजपा की गलत नीतियों से लोगों को अवगत कराया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि जनता भाजपा की नीतियों को अच्छे से समझ चुकी है। महंगाई एवं भ्रष्टाचार चरम पर है और डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया हर रोज गिर रहा है। रसोई गैस सिलिंडर के दाम आसमान को छू रहे हैं।

अव्यवस्थाओं को सामने लाएगी यात्रा
पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री हरीश रावत ने यात्रा हरिद्वार जिले में अव्यवस्थाओं को सामने लाएगी। कहा कि महंगाई, भ्रष्टाचार, बेरोजगारी, महिलाओं का उत्पीड़न, कानून व्यवस्था में गिरावट, आंतरिक सड़कों समेत अधिकांश सड़कों का बदहाल होना जैसे मोर्चा पर प्रदेश सरकार विफल है।

रावत ने कहा कि रोशनाबाद से बंदरजूड़, कलियर से बंदरजूड़ को जोड़ने वाला मार्ग, मंगलौर में झबरेड़ा मार्ग और भोगपुर मार्ग खस्ताहाल है। कहा कि ऐसा लगता है कि जब पंचायत चुनाव होते हैं, तो धांधली कराकर सत्ता कब्जाने के लिए हरिद्वार महत्वपूर्ण हो जाता है और समस्याओं के समाधान की बारी आती है, तो भाजपा हरिद्वार को प्रदेश का हिस्सा ही नहीं मानती।
