पड़ोसी राज्यों जम्मू-कश्मीर और हिमाचल प्रदेश में पश्चिमी विक्षोभ के सक्रिय होने का असर उत्तराखंड में भी दिखने लगा है। मौसम विभाग ने अगले 24 घंटे में कुमाऊं क्षेत्र के ऊधमसिंह नगर जिले में शीतलहर की आशंका जताई है। इसे लेकर येलो अलर्ट जारी किया गया है।

मौसम के बदले मिजाज के चलते पहाड़ से लेकर मैदान तक न्यूनतम तापमान में गिरावट का दौर शुरू हो गया है। मौसम विभाग की ओर से जारी रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक सोमवार को मैदानी क्षेत्रों में सबसे कम तापमान 3.6 डिग्री सेल्सियस पंतनगर में दर्ज किया गया। इसके अलावा कुमाऊं क्षेत्र के मुक्तेश्वर में अधिकतम तापमान 19.9 डिग्री सेल्सियस और न्यूनतम तापमान सात डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया। राजधानी दून में दिन का तापमान जहां 28.4 डिग्री दर्ज किया गया, वहीं रात में न्यूनतम तापमान सात डिग्री पर पहुंच गया।

जबकि एक दिन पूर्व न्यूनतम तापमान 7.7 डिग्री दर्ज किया गया था। मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र के निदेशक विक्रम सिंह के मुताबिक आने वाले दिनों में मैदान से पहाड़ तक शीतलहर की संभावना है। उधर, पाला पड़ने से खेती को भी नुकसान हो सकता है।
