धारचूला: सीमांत जिले पिथौरागढ़ में बगैर वर्षा के ही कड़ाके की ठंड पड़ने लगी है। धारचूला तहसील के चीन सीमा से सटे गांव गुंजी और कुटी में प्राकृतिक जलस्रोत जमने लगे हैं। रात में पारा -13 डिग्री तक पहुंच रहा है। धारचूला तहसील के अंतर्गत 10 से 11 हजार फीट की ऊंचाई पर बसे गांव गुंजी और कुटी में इन दिनों कड़ाके की ठंड पड़ रही है। दिन में धूप खिलने से लोगों को थोड़ी राहत मिल रही है, लेकिन रात में यहां पारा काफी नीचे जा रहा है।

हिमपात के बाद पारा और लुढ़कने की आशंका
बता दें अभी इन इलाकों में हिमपात शुरू नहीं हई है। हिमपात के बाद पारा और नीचे जाने की आशंका है। क्षेत्र के तमाम प्राकृतिक जलस्रोत सुबह के वक्त जमे हुए मिल रहे हैं। दिन के वक्त थोड़ी देर स्रोतों में पानी में हल्का बहाव दिख रहा है, लेकिन सांझ ढलते ही स्रोत फिर जम जा रहे हैं। इस समय इन इलाकों में सुरक्षा बलों के अतिरिक्त इक्का-दुक्का परिवार ही हैं। अधिकांश परिवार ठंड के चलते पहले ही घाटियों में माइग्रेशन कर चुके हैं। वहीं जिला मुख्यालय में भी सुबह और रात में ठंड बढ़ गई है। रात में पारा -1 डिग्री तक जा रहा है। शीतकालीन वर्षा नहीं होने से पड़ रही सूखी ठंड के चलते लोगों को स्वास्थ्य संबंधी परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। मौसम विभाग ने एक जनवरी के बाद वर्षा की संभावना जताई है।
