रुड़की: एसटीएफ व कलियर पुलिस टीम ने हाथी के दांत के साथ एक तस्कर को दबोचा है। तस्‍कर के पास से हाथी के दो दांत भी बरामद किए गए हैं। इन दांतों की कीमत करीब 30 लाख रूपए बताई जा रही है।

जानकारी के मुताबिक एसटीएफ व थाना कलियर पुलिस की संयुक्त टीम ने हाथी के दांतों की तस्करी होने की सूचना पर घेरा बंदी की। इस दौरान अजमेरी तिराहा के निकट आम के बाग से एक तस्कर को पकड़ा गया। जबकि दो तस्कर पुलिस को चकमा देकर फरार हो गये।

पकड़े गए तस्कर के कब्जे से दो हाथी दांत भी बरामद किए हैं। एसओ जहांगीर अली ने बताया की पकड़े गए तस्कर ने पूछताछ में अपना नाम लोकेश बजाज निवासी आवास विकास कालोनी थाना सदर शाहजहांपुर यूपी बताया है।

इसके दो साथी नौशाद व रिजवान निवासीगण शाजहांपुर यूपी मौके से फरार हो गए हैं। जिनको जल्द ही गिरफ्तार कर लिया जाएगा। सभी के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया है। आरोपित रुड़की में हाथी के दांतों की तस्करी करने के लिए आये थे।
