कर्णप्रयाग: जोशीमठ के बाद अब चमोली जिले का कर्णप्रयाग भी दरारों की जद में आ गया है। यहां आठ घरों की हालत खतरनाक बनी हुई है। जिसे देखते हुए इन घरों में रहने वाले आठ परिवारों को घर खाली करने का नोटिस दिया गया है।

कर्णप्रयाग के 60 गांव भी खतरे की जद में
कर्णप्रयाग में राजनगर, गांधीनगर, बहुगुणानगर, आइटीआइ और अपर बाजार रामलीला मैदान से मस्जिद परिसर तक भूधंसाव का खतरा मंडरा रहा है। वहीं 60 के करीब घरों में दरारें भी आ गई हैं।

ऐसे में जोशीमठ वासियों की स्थिति देखकर कर्णप्रयाग में भी शहरवासियों की चिंता बढ़ गई है। 14 हजार की आबादी वाले कर्णप्रयाग के स्थानीय निवासियों की शिकायत है कि वर्ष 2012 में मंडी समिति के भवन निर्माण के दौरान जेसीबी मशीनों से खोदाई की गई।

उसी समय से नगर में भूधंसाव शुरू हो गया और लगातार मकानों में दरारें बढ़ने लगी। इसके बाद कई लोगों ने किराये के भवनों में रहना शुरू कर दिया। वहीं शहर में निकासी नालियों की व्यवस्था न होने से जरा सी बारिश होने पर पानी का रुख आबादी की ओर होने से भूधंसाव का खतरा बना रहता है।

आवासीय भवनों के निरीक्षण को पहुंचे तहसीलदार सुरेंद्र सिंह देव ने बताया कि भूधंसाव की जद में आए 24 से अधिक भवनों का सर्वे किया गया है। इनमें आठ आवासीय भवन रहने लायक नहीं पाए गए। ऐसे में इन परिवारों को नगर पालिका के रैन-बसेरे में शिफ्ट किया जाएगा।

रुड़की आइआइटी के भूविज्ञानियों की टीम बदरीनाथ यात्रा के मुख्य पड़ाव कर्णप्रयाग में बहुगुणानगर से आइटीआइ तक भूधंसाव वाले क्षेत्रों की भौगोलिक संरचना का अध्ययन करेगी।

नगर क्षेत्र में 60 से अधिक मकान भूधंसाव की जद में हैं, जबकि आठ मकान रहने लायक नहीं बचे। हालांकि इससे पहले भी रुड़की आइआइटी के भूविज्ञानियों ने नगर क्षेत्र का अध्ययन कर मृदा परीक्षण समेत अन्य अध्ययन की जरूरत बताई थी।
