हरिद्वार: देशभर में आज सोमवार को सोमवती अमावस्‍या स्‍नान पर्व मनाया जा रहा है। उत्‍तराखंड के गंगा और सहायक नदियों के घाटों में तड़के से भक्‍तों की भीड़ लगी हुई है। भक्‍त स्‍नान के बाद पूजा और दान भी कर रहे हैं। हरिद्वार में भी भोर से श्रद्धालु स्‍नान के लिए उमड़े हुए हैं। वहीं आज हरिद्वार में भारी वाहनों का प्रवेश प्रतिबंधित है।

भारी वाहन पूरी तरह प्रतिबंधित
20 फरवरी को होने वाले सोमवती अमावस्या स्नान पर्व पर श्रद्धालुओं की भारी भीड़ की संभावना को देखते हुए पुलिस ने यातायात प्लान बनाया है। जिसके तहत रविवार शाम चार बजे से सोमवार रात दस बजे तक जिले में भारी वाहन पूरी तरह प्रतिबंधित रहेंगे।

पुलिस-प्रशासन पूरी तरह मुस्तैद
भारी संख्या में श्रद्धालुओं के धर्मनगरी पहुंचने की संभावना को लेकर पुलिस-प्रशासन पूरी तरह मुस्तैद है। मेला क्षेत्र को पांच सुपर जोन, 16 जोन और 39 सेक्टरों में बांटते हुए पुलिस फोर्स की तैनाती कर दी गई है।

घाटों पर मुस्तैद जल पुलिस के गोताखोर
एसएसपी अजय सिंह ने हाल ही में कई युवकों के गंगा में डूबने की घटनाओं का संज्ञान लेते हुए स्नान पर्व पर जल पुलिस को पूरी तरह चौकस रहने के निर्देश दिए हैं। खासतौर पर हरकी पैड़ी व आसपास के गंगा घाटों पर जल पुलिस की टीमें मुस्तैद हैं।

पुल से छलांग लगाने और वीडियो बनाने के लिए करतब दिखाने वालों को भी रोकने के लिए कहा गया है। एसएसपी ने बताया कि स्नान के मद्देनजर हरकी पैड़ी क्षेत्र से भिखारियों को हटाया गया है। बम निरोधक दस्ते के साथ-साथ डाग स्कवायड की भी तैनाती की गई है।
