मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने बागेश्वर जिले की कविता देवी और देहरादून जिले की निकिता चौहान को भारत सरकार के जल शक्ति मंत्रालय द्वारा स्वच्छ सुजल शक्ति सम्मान 2023 के लिए चयनित होने पर बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं दी। सीएम धामी ने कहा कि हमारे राज्य की महिला सरपंचों को यह सम्मान मिलना प्रदेशवासियों विशेषकर यहां की महिलाओं के लिए गौरव का विषय है।

यह सम्मान उत्तराखंड में जमीनी स्तर पर महिला नेतृत्व के असाधारण योगदान का सम्मान है। यह सम्मान उन सभी लोगों को प्रेरित करेगा जो अपने गांवों को स्वच्छ बनाने और गांवों में जल संरक्षण के लिए कार्य कर रहे हैं। गांवों को स्वच्छ बनाने, ओडीएफ प्लस मॉडल गांवों के निर्माण, हर घर जल मिशन व जल संरक्षण में ग्राम प्रधानों एवं सरपंचों की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका है।

उत्तराखंड में महिला ग्राम प्रधान, महिला सरपंच, महिला स्वच्छाग्रही, महिला स्वयं सहायता समूह, आशा एवं आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ता बहनें धरातल स्तर पर अपनी प्रभावी नेतृत्व क्षमता और कुशल प्रबन्धन के माध्यम से राज्य के विकास में असाधारण योगदान दे रही हैं।

केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्रालय द्वारा स्वच्छ सुजल शक्ति सम्मान के तहत चार मार्च से अंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस सप्ताह मनाया जाएगा। इस वर्ष उत्तराखंड की दो महिलाओं का चयन भी स्वच्छ सुजल शक्ति सम्मान 2023 के लिए हुआ है। चार मार्च को नई दिल्ली के विज्ञान भवन में राष्ट्रपति द्रोपदी मुर्मू और केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्री गजेन्द्र सिंह शेखावत द्वारा महिलाओं का सम्मान किया जाएगा।

भारत सरकार के जल शक्ति मंत्रालय के पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता विभाग द्वारा जनपद बागेश्वर से सरपंच कविता देवी व देहरादून जिले से सरपंच निकिता चौहान को अपने गांवों को ओडीएफ (खुले में शौच से मुक्त) प्लस मॉडल बनाने की दिशा में उत्कृष्ट कार्य और असाधारण योगदान देने के लिए स्वच्छ सुजल शक्ति सम्मान 2023 के लिए चयनित किया गया है।
