हल्द्वानी मेडिकल कॉलेज के मैस में एमबीबीएस प्रथम वर्ष के छात्रों के साथ रैगिंग का मामला सामने आया है। इसमें सीनियर छात्रों ने मैस में जूनियर छात्रों के साथ अभद्र व्यवहार किया है। सूचना मिलने पर कॉलेज प्रबंधन की टीम पहुंची। सीसीटीवी फुटेज देखे गए जिसमें घटना की पुष्टि होती दिख रही है। इसके बाद कॉलेज प्रबंधन ने एंटी रैगिंग कमेटी की बैठक बुलाई। इसमें जूनियर और सीनियर छात्रों के पक्ष को सुना गया। अब सीनियर छात्रों को हॉस्टल और कोर्स से बाहर करने का फैसला किया गया है। इसके अलावा आर्थिक जुर्माना भी लगाया जाएगा। पिछले साल भी रैगिंग के कई मामले सामने आए थे।

मेडिकल कालेज में रैगिंग का ताजा मामला बीती 25 मार्च का है। शाम करीब साढ़े चार बजे एमबीबीएस-2022 बैच के छात्र मैस में पहुंचे थे। यहां पर वर्ष-2021 के तीन सीनियर छात्र मौजूद थे। बताया जाता है कि तीन सीनियर छात्रों ने जूनियर छात्रों के साथ अभद्र व्यवहार किया। इस दौरान हंगामा भी हुआ। इससे एक छात्र की घबराने के साथ उसकी हालत बिगड़ गई। मैस के पास मौजूद सुरक्षा कर्मियों कालेज प्रबंधन को मामले की जानकारी दी। कालेज प्राचार्य समेत अन्य प्रबंधन से जुड़े लोग मौके पर पहुंचे। मेडिकल काॅलेज प्राचार्य डॉ. अरुण जोशी कहते हैं कि मामले में शिकायत नहीं हुई थी, लेकिन विषय की गंभीरता को देखते हुए कदम उठाया गया।

सीसीटीवी फुटेज को देखा गया। इसमें घटना का विस्तार से पता चला है। जूनियर छात्र एक लाइन में चलते हुए भी दिख रहे हैं। इसके बाद अनुशासन समिति की बैठक बुलाई गई। फिर एंटी रैगिंग कमेटी की बैठक बुलाई। इसमें जूनियर और सीनियर छात्रों के पक्ष को सुना गया। सभी विधिक पहलू को देखने के साथ कार्रवाई का फैसला किया गया। इससे जुड़े मिनट्स अभी जारी होना बाकी है। एंटी रैगिंग कमेटी की बैठक में सिटी मजिस्ट्रेट ऋचा सिंह, सीओ भूपेंद्र सिंह धौनी समेत अन्य अधिकारी व कमेटी के सदस्य मौजूद थे।

हॉस्टल से निकाले जाएंगे सीनियर छात्र
एंटी रैगिंग कमेटी की बैठक में एक सीनियर छात्र को छह माह के लिए हास्टल और कोर्स से बाहर करने का फैसला लिया गया है। दो अन्य छात्रों को छह महीने हास्टल और एक महीने कोर्स से बाहर करने का फैसला किया गया है। तीनों सीनियर छात्रों पर 25-25 हजार का आर्थिक जुर्माना भी लगाया गया है।

एक साल में रैगिंग के कई मामले सामने आए
मेडिकल काॅलेज में एक साल में रैगिंग के कई मामले सामने आ चुके हैं। इनमें सीनियर छात्रों पर आर्थिक जुर्माना लगाया गया था। पिछले साल तीन मार्च को मेडिकल काॅलेज में रैगिंग का मामला सामने आया था। इसका एक वीडियाे भी वायरल हुआ था, इसमें बाल कटे हुए जूनियर छात्र एक लाइन में चलते हुए दिख रहे थे। वीडियो वायरल होने के बाद कॉलेज में खलबली मच गई थी। इस मामले की जांच कुमाऊं कमिश्नर ने भी की। संबंधित मामले में 120 छात्रों पर पांच-पांच हजार का जुर्माना लगाया गया था। फिर दिसंबर में वीडियो कॉल के माध्यम से एक जूनियर छात्र के साथ रैगिंग की बात सामने आयी थी। इसमें चालीस से अधिक सीनियर छात्रों पर 25-25 हजार का जुर्माना लगाया गया था। अब यह मामला सामने आया है। पिछली दो घटनाओं में उस बैच के छात्र शामिल हैं, जिनके साथ पिछले साल मार्च में रैगिंग हुई थी।
