परिवहन निगम के 14 रूटों पर निजी बस संचालन के परिवहन विभाग के प्रस्ताव पर उत्तराखंड परिवहन निगम कर्मचारी मोर्चा विरोध में उतर आया है। मोर्चा ने सभी संघटकों की बैठक बुलाकर विरोध जताया। विरोध में 19 अप्रैल को एक दिवसीय कार्य बहिष्कार और धरना-प्रदर्शन की चेतावनी दी।

परिवहन विभाग ने हाल ही में प्रदेश में 14 ऐसे रूटों पर निजी बसों के संचालन का प्रस्ताव जारी किया है, जिन पर केवल रोडवेज बसें संचालित करने का प्रावधान था। हल्द्वानी संभाग में हल्द्वानी-रानीखेत, हल्द्वानी-नैनीताल, रानीबाग-भीमताल, हल्द्वानी-सितारगंज-खटीमा-टनकपुर, टनकपुर-लोहाघाट, लोहाघाट-घाट, पिथौरागढ़ -ओगला, मुरादाबाद-रामपुर-किच्छा-हल्द्वानी, रानीखेत-द्वाराहाट रूट शामिल हैं।

देहरादून संभाग में हरिद्वार-ऋषिकेश-लक्ष्मणझूला, देहरादून-मसूरी मार्ग, देहरादून-डोईवाला-रानीपोखरी-ऋषिकेश मार्ग, भगवानपुर-चुड़ियाला-इकबालपुर-झबरेड़ा मार्ग, हरिद्वार-लक्सर मार्ग, झबरेड़ा-मंगलौर मार्ग, मंगलौर-लखनौता मार्ग शामिल हैं। रोडवेज कर्मियों के मोर्चा की बैठक में यह मुद्दा प्रमुखता से उठा। तय किया गया कि इस पर मोर्चा खुला विरोध करेगा।

परिवहन निगम ने 47 करोड़ रुपये सरकार को लौटा दिए
जिन मार्गों पर अभी तक केवल रोडवेज बसों का संचालन होता था, वहां निजी बसें चलाने से परिवहन निगम को भारी राजस्व नुकसान होगा। बैठक में इस बात का भी विरोध जताया गया कि पूर्व की बैठक में विशेष श्रेणी, संविदा कर्मियों के रिटायरमेंट या अचानक मृत्यु पर दो लाख रुपये का प्रस्ताव अभी तक निगम अपनी बोर्ड बैठक में नहीं लाया।

न ही बस उपलब्ध न होने पर ड्यूटी आने वाले ड्राइवर-कंडक्टरों को 200 किलोमीटर देने पर कोई निर्णय लिया गया है। बैठक में इस बात पर भी विरोध जताया गया कि हाईकोर्ट में यूपी से मिले पैसे का एसेट या कर्मचारियों पर खर्च के अलावा कहीं अन्य न करने का शपथपत्र देने के बावजूद परिवहन निगम ने 47 करोड़ रुपये सरकार को लौटा दिए हैं।

बैठक में तय किया गया कि विरोध स्वरूप 19 अप्रैल को टनकपुर वर्कशॉप, हल्द्वानी बस अड्डा और आईएसबीटी देहरादून में एक दिवसीय कार्य बहिष्कार व धरना प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा। इसके बाद भी निगम ने चेता तो आंदोलन की रणनीति बनाई जाएगी।
