हरिद्वार: रानीपुर कोतवाली क्षेत्र में आज तड़के गश्त कर रहे चेतक पुलिसकर्मियों पर बदमाशों ने हमला कर दिया। पुलिस कर्मियों को लहुलुहान कर वह अपने साथियों को छुड़ा ले गए। हमले में दोनों सिपाहियों को गंभीर चोटें आई हैं। जिनमें से एक की गंभीर हालत को देखते हुए एम्स ऋषिकेश रेफर किया गया है। पुलिस आरोपितों की खोज में जुट गई है।

तड़के गश्‍त कर रहे थे पु‍लिस के दो सिपाही

पुलिस के मुताबिक, आज गुरुवार तड़के कांस्‍टेबल प्रीतपाल और विजयपाल शिवालिक नगर क्षेत्र में रोजाना की तरह गश्त पर थे। उसी दौरान जी क्लस्टर क्षेत्र में पहुंचे तो उन्होंने संदिग्ध अवस्था में घूमते दो युवकों को पकड़ लिया। पूछताछ के दौरान उन्होंने भागने की कोशिश की।

पुलिस कर्मियों पर किया लाठी से हमला

पुलिस कर्मी उन्हें रोकने का प्रयास करने लगे। तभी पीछे से आए उनके दो अन्य साथियों ने पुलिस कर्मियों पर लाठी से हमला कर दिया। पुलिस कर्मियों को संभलने का मौका नहीं मिला और वह लहूलुहान होकर मौके पर ही गिर गए। चारों बदमाश मौके से फरार हो गए।

एक सिपाही को आई गंभीर चोट

घायल पुलिसकर्मियों की सूचना पर मौके पर पहुंची रानीपुर कोतवाली की पुलिस दोनों घायल सिपाहियों को अस्पताल ले गई। जहां सिपाही प्रीतपाल की आंख पर गंभीर चोट आने के चलते चिकित्सकों ने उसे एम्स ऋषिकेश रेफर कर दिया। जबकि दूसरे सिपाही विजय पाल को अस्पताल में ही भर्ती कर लिया गया है।

सीओ सदर बहादुर सिंह चौहान ने बताया कि बदमाशों के चेहरे सीसीटीवी कैमरों में कैद हुए हैं, उन्हें जल्द ही गिरफ्तार कर लिया जाएगा।
