न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति रवींद्र मैठाणी की एकलपीठ में मामले की सुनवाई हुई। कोर्ट ने विधायक उमेश शर्मा की ओर से दिए गए तर्कों को निरस्त कर दिया।

नैनीताल हाईकोर्ट ने हरिद्वार जिले की खानपुर विधानसभा सीट से निर्दलीय विधायक उमेश कुमार उर्फ उमेश शर्मा के चुनाव को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका सुनवाई के लिए स्वीकार कर ली है। याचिका पर आज सुनवाई होगी।

न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति रवींद्र मैठाणी की एकलपीठ में मामले की सुनवाई हुई। कोर्ट ने विधायक उमेश शर्मा की ओर से दिए गए तर्कों को निरस्त कर दिया। शर्मा ने कहा था कि याचिका सुनवाई योग्य नहीं है। याचिका में कई पहलुओं का अनुपालन नहीं किया गया है इसलिए इसे निरस्त किया जाय।

ये हैं आरोप
देवकी कलां लक्सर निवासी वीरेंद्र कुमार ने याचिका दाखिल कर आरोप लगाया है कि विधायक उमेश शर्मा ने चुनाव के दौरान अपने नामांकन पत्र के साथ दिए गए शपथ पत्र में कई तथ्य छिपाए हैं। याचिकाकर्ता ने उमेश शर्मा के खिलाफ अलग-अलग न्यायालयों में विचाराधीन 29 आपराधिक मामलों की जानकारी देते हुए कहा है कि विधायक ने केवल 16 मामलों की जानकारी ही शपथ पत्र में दी है। याचिका में मुख्य अपराधों को छिपाया गया है। याचिका में यह भी कहा गया है कि विधायक ने वोटरों को प्रभावित करने के लिए पुलिस के साथ मिलकर रुपये बांटे इसलिए उनके चुनाव को निरस्त किया जाए।
