फर्जी डॉक्टर प्रकरण में पुलिस ने टिहरी में प्रैक्टिस कर रहे एक फर्जी बीएएमएस डॉक्टर को गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी डॉक्टर ने वर्ष 1991 में बीईएमएस की डिग्री ली थी। इसके बाद वर्ष 2017 में आरोपी की मुलाकात इमलाख से हुई। इमलाख ने ही आरोपी को छह लाख रुपये में फर्जी बीएएमएस की डिग्री देने के साथ ही भारतीय चिकित्सा परिषद में पंजीकरण करवाया था।

बता दें कि एसटीएफ ने प्रदेश में फर्जी डॉक्टर डिग्री का खुलासा किया था। इसके बाद इसकी जांच पुलिस को सौंप दी थी। नेहरू कॉलोनी पुलिस प्रकरण की जांच कर रही है। अभी तक पुलिस प्रकरण में 13 लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर चुकी है, जिसमें फर्जी डॉक्टर और डिग्री बांटने वाले व भारतीय चिकित्सा परिषद के कर्मचारी शामिल हैं।

मंगलवार को एसएसपी दलीप सिंह कुंवर ने पुलिस कार्यालय में पत्रकारों से वार्ता में एक और फर्जी चिकित्सक की गिरफ्तारी का खुलासा करते हुए बताया कि जांच में टिहरी में फर्जी बीएएमएस डिग्री से एक डॉक्टर की ओर से प्रैक्टिस का पता चला था। इसके बाद नेहरू कॉलोनी पुलिस ने सोमवार देर शाम फर्जी डॉक्टर राजेंद्र प्रसाद निवासी ग्राम मजगांव, थाना चंबा टिहरी गढ़वाल को ग्राम सत्यों टिहरी गढ़वाल से गिरफ्तार कर लिया।
