चम्पावत : स्वाला के पास जर्बस्त भू-स्खलन होने से पहाड़ का 300 मीटर का हिस्सा सड़क पर आ गया है। घटना केवक्त सड़क पर कोई वाहन न होने से बड़ा हादसा टल गया। अलबत्ता पहाड़ खिसकने से कुछ देर पहले अल्टो कार पर बोल्डर गिरने से एक यात्री गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया। घायल युवक को उपचार के लिए जिला अस्पताल लाया गया है। सड़क बंद होने से चम्पावत और टनकपुर की ओर सैकड़ों वाहन फंस गए हैं। जल्दी सड़क खुलने की संभावना नहीं है। प्रशासन ने रोडवेज की बसों एवं निजी वाहनों को चम्पावत और टनकपुर की ओर भेजना शुरू कर दिया है।

टनकपुर-पिथौरागढ़ हाईवे पर शनिवार की सुबह 10:30 बजे करीब पहाड़ का 300 मीटर हिस्सा खिसक कर सड़क पर आ गया। गनीमत रही कि इस दौरान सड़क पर कोई वाहन नहीं था, अन्यथा बड़ी तबाही मच सकती थी। बताया जा रहा है कि पहाड़ खिसकने के 20 मिनट पूर्व टनकपुर की ओर से आ रही अल्टो कार संख्या- यूके 03टीए, 1357 पर बोल्डर आने से कार में सवार खेतीखान निवासी बृजेश सिंह गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया। कार का आगे का हिस्सा बुरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया है। घायल को 108 के जरिए उपचार के लिए जिला अस्पताल लाया गया है। इस घटना के बाद पहाड़ का हिस्सा खिसक गया। चल्थी चौकी प्रभारी हेमंत कठैत ने बताया कि पहाड़ा का लगभग 300 मीटर हिस्सा गिरा है।

सड़क के दोनों ओर वाहनों को वापस लौटाया जा रहा है। एनएच के ईई एलडी मथेला ने बताया कि मलबा अत्यधिक होने से आज शाम तक सड़क खुलने की संभावना नहीं है। इधर पुलिस ने टनकपुर ककरालीगेट और चम्पावत में वाहनों को रोक दिया है। निजी वाहन चालकों से वापस लौटने की अपील की जा रही है। सूचना के बाद एडीएम टीएस मर्तोलिया के नेतृत्व में प्रशासन की टीम भी मौके पर रवाना हो गई है।
